Amazing to think Froch fought Jason Booth, what was the outcome? I remember reading Froch lost to Peter Manfredo Jr in the ams. Footage of these fights would be great.
Khan knocked out Victor Ortiz in the ams, cant find any footage it online.

I recall Froch, who as amateur lost to former WBO champ Denis Inkin, saying that he stopped Booth. Khan did stop Ortiz too but it was due to the 15 point outclassed rule that used to be in effect.
-Demetrius Andrade outpointed Keith Thurman (27-13 and 18-14) and Diego Chaves (22-0)
-N'dam decisioned Andy Lee (27-27 but N'dam on countback), as did GGG (29-9)
-Terrence Crawford beat Danny Garcia and Mikey Garcia
-Matt Korobov dropped and stopped Danny Jacobs (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynDnAItHkiU)
-Jacobs beat Shawn Porter five times and lost to him once
-Wilder beat Chakhkiev (11-10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWU1p-XO_5I) and in his first international contest lost against mediocre Polish HW Krystoff Zimnoch (23-20)
-Pascal beat Stevenson (25-12 and 29-19), traded a win (19-14) and loss (12-8) with Craig McEwan, and narrowly outpointed Paul Smith (18-16) in the Commonwealth finals
-Stevenson lost to Jarrod Fletcher in the Commonwealth finals (34-18
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9TJ1VtU-18)
-Beterbiev stopped Thabiso Mchunu in three, outpointed Kovalev twice (one of the scores was 25-24), and decisioned Usyk (20-12), though he was also defeated by the latter at least twice (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSFvVND_uJ0 and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD1YnjasxJU).
On a lower level, Erik Skoglund beat Stephen Simmons(
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLtzqWb_23A) and Simmons beat 18-0 American Jordan Shimmell twice.

Surely there has to be coverage of the 2004 Olympic Middleweight class. That tournament now looks frightening.

Ortiz quit on his stool at the end of the 2nd I believe

The result is most commonly listed as RSCO 2 for Khan, and I believe at the time RSCOs occurred when the deficit reached 15 points before the final round.
If I recall correctly, a high-level US judge/ref who posts in the CS ("JMac") was at the event and may've seen the bout.

-Maidana and Lucas M fought multiple times and I believe that Maidana generally got the better of it. There is a good article about and some pictures of one of their meetings here:
http://www.BS.com/maidana-matt ... tos--35234
-Frankie Gavin beat Selcuk Aydin by DQ and Aydin was banned by the AIBA for attacking the referee after the bout. Frankie also beat IBF title challenger Lenny Zappavigna in the Commonwealth Games, stopping him on the outclass rule (27-7) in the third.
-Robert Helenius lost on points to Bermane Stiverne (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn-IOgR3V6k) but outpointed David Price (25-22). Price was knocked out when he fought Stiverne (

Good post!
Looking at Pascals record i see he actually beat Stevenson twice in the space of one month.
Golovkin fought and beat Korobov, Andy Lee and Lucian Bute in the space of 4 days.
Theres a video on You Tube of Danny Garcia saying he was 1 a piece with Crawford in the amatuers, but he feels he should have got the victory in both fights.
Will be interesting to see how Beterbiev progresses in the pro's, he had an impressive amatuer career.

I was going to mention Froch but wasn't sure if I was making it up
Braehmer's fighting Krasniqi on Saturday, its a pity he didn't step up his competition back to his unpaid days,he's a pretty good boxer too but has wasted his career fighting opponents that would make Joe Calzaghe blush

fvcking hell, first time i have seen that, thanks.
wasn't Bute fast tho eh? Pretty slick, too. Uses his TallSouthpawness really well, and a TallFastSouthpaw, well any idiot could tell you that's a nightmare to fight.
given a lot more chin, and stamina, and intestinal fortitude, and he's Calzaghe. I think i say this as a complement to calzaghe's phenomenal gifts and skillset.

From the UK there is footage of the following interesting domestic rivalries.
- George Groves beating DeGale
- Dillian Whyte dropping and beating Anthony Joshua
- Tyson Fury dropping David Price but losing to him.
What is interesting looking at those partial records is I didn't realise Anthony Dirrell beat Golovkin in the amateurs!
It also seems that the widely quoted wikipedia entry of Golovkin losing only 5 amateur fights in total has been exaggerated.
He lost 8 of the 52 listed there! And there are certainly others as it doesn't list his wide points Olympic Final defeat etc.

Yep, and I suspect that loads of pros' amateur records are listed as being more favorable than they are. I know of a Canadian fighter who had at least 13 losses by the time he was 15 yet when he was set to turn pro with a well-known promoter several years and some more losses later he was suddenly 67-8.

Apparently Andre Ward said his hardest fight to date was Tim Bradley, who was fighting at middleweight in the AMs.
Bradley beat Darren Barker at MW in the AMs.

Golovkin also beat Daniel Geale and Mike Perez in the amateurs.
Wayne McCullough claimed a 1st round stoppage of an A Gatti in his biography.
Joe Calzaghe beat Chris Byrd.
