2015 was going to the year of the Haymaker apparently. We are now nearly a third of the way through the year and no mention of a fight. I wonder if he's injured again but reluctant to mention it after all the bad press he got before. Or do you think we won't see Haye back in the ring ever again?

David Haye said 2015 was going to be the year of the Hayemaker and I don't think anyone really takes any notice with what comes out of his mouth anymore.

He said he was going to have a few low key undercard fights at the back end of last year on Mismatchroom cards but they never materialised. Suppose we all new it would never happen.

Didn't he pull out of an event in Cardiff recently? I wonder if thats because he wants to avoid any questions on his comeback.

I couldn't see him fighting on anyone's undercard,his ego is too big and anyway i would never purchase a ticket to watch him fight ever again.

Was just in Salisbury recently at the opening of Tris Dixon's new gym.

As for fights... no idea.

I just don't see him fighting again for anything less than big money, or a world title crack or both.

In the extremely unlikely event that Fury beat Wlad - I'd expect Haye to emerge from the woodwork again - however, if I were Fury, I'd probably tell him to poke it.

He's dropped out the rankings though, he can't get a title shot without at least having a few fights first

I'm sure that could be gotten around - it wouldn't be the first time. If there's enough money in it, the sanctioning bodies can resurrect the dead and reinstate them in the rankings.

That's right,but like James says,money talks and the rankings mean nothing if there is a few quid to be made.i believe there is a rule in place where Vitali Klit could come back at anytime and jump straight in to a title fight if he wanted because he retired as champ.

I can see him fighting again he looked like he'd put some muscle/weight on when he was on the Frampton ITV commentary maybe he's getting ready to fight again.

That's right Vitali is the WBC 'Champion Emeritus' and could come back straight into a WBC world title fight if he wanted to.

I am so tired of his on again off again retirements.
But even more tired of his fight cancellations.

I read somewhere that he'd signed with Al Haymon or was in talks! Was this just BS? To be honest I reckon you've more chance of seeing him on Geordie shore or one of they homosexual reality shows than you have seeing him fight again! Unless Fury were to win a world title and offer him a voluntary or something.

God knows... think he just likes keeping his name out there and in a fairly cynical way that got dead tedious some time ago.

My guess and (other folk have made the point as well) is that if Fury hits the jackpot then David will be down the gym in a flash and we'll get an onslaught of Hayemaker press releases demanding a 'Battle of Britain.'

Maybe it is a bit petty....but if Tyson gets a belt I would not mind if he kept Haye waiting and guessing....return the favour of getting badly jacked around.

Between watching that and the ITV fights the other week it's clear to me that David Haye knows next to nothing about global boxing, bu he still apears very clued up when it comes to the heavyweight division and clearly keeps a close watch on things.

I hope he does come back, but i don't think he has anything near the pulling power he believes.... certainly not enough to allow him to fight Wilder without forcing a mandatory.

Best option for him is to win his tin pot WBA belt back and try and move forward from there.
