Has he retired?
Was hoping to see him back in the ring (hopefully at Featherweight)

I hope it's a success but it's a gamble with no previous pro shows being I Greenock for a long time, obviously Simpson is class,Sam ball will make a great pro, grant has the tools to do well and Danny Lee has a few very good amateurs who could turn over and do well. Good luckDougieCampbell wrote:Good to see Frankie getting fight in home town.. looking forwRd to it... its a home show for me tooGazmac81 wrote:Frankie Monkhouse also on this show and he confirmed all off the below that your saying on his facebook so good to see more shows about the area.

Fair point Billy the money must have been hard to refuse, but as a long time fan it was sad to see him get hurt like that.billy nelson wrote:john got a very good payday fighting john Murray he took it has he's a young family to keep.
Couple of my mates were there. It's only 5 mins walk along the road from me but was on daddy duty! Got told Simpson looked pretty sharp and in good condition. Won every round. Apparently it was a decent turn out and a good wee show so perhaps they'll be back.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Points win for Simpson last night.
Anyone at the fight?
Good stuff. I see his opponent stopped an unbeaten fighter in Britain not long ago and also dropped Jon Slowey recently.Stuarty30 wrote:Couple of my mates were there. Glad to hear it. I hope to get to the next one. What weight is John hoping to fight at now then? I had heard SBW but I'd be surprised if he could make that. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Warrington in together later in the year!quigley1986 wrote:Good show really enjoyed it, John won every round boxed well. Sam Ball looked great, won by ko 2nd round!!! Ryan Collins won a scrappy affair. Grant boxed well punished the boy from start to finish but was loading up to much looking for ko. It was great to see prospects in with guys looking to win Grant and Sam, made the fights really entertaining.
Great venue and the atmosphere was great, all in all a big success. Think boxing will be on in Greenock regular now.
he weighed in at 9st 2lb not sure but guessing the weigh in was on the day so he will use that as a gauge to see if he can do the extra 2lbs with a day before weigh in.Stuarty30 wrote:Glad to hear it.
