Eddie Hearn announcement on Ringside

Eddie Hearn has mentioned a few times on social media the last few days that he has a big announcement, that is going to be made on Ringside this week. What are your predictions?

I've heard a few people predicting a Froch fight at the city ground or Quigg-Frampton.

However, I am leaning towards the Jamie McDonnell unification fight and maybe the Selby-Gradovich fight being made official for May.

Is anyone outside of Doncaster remotely interested in this?

I think something involving the Super Middleweights.

Callum Smith vs Rocky Fielding vacant title...... Paul Smith in a big "world class" fight.... Smith vs Sturm?

Think Sturm's meant to be fighting Fedor Chudinov next. I'd say A Smith v Fielding, McDonnell world title shot, O2 show in May.

He did say a 'couple of announcements'
I wouldn't be surprised if it's Mitchell vs Linares and Selby vs Gradovich at the o2 with McDonnell vs Kameda on a big card stateside later in the same night

Yes it's a good fight but Jamie has to be at a career best to win looked poor last fight.

Eddie said on Monday that he'd announce that within 24 hours, looks like he's not very good at this telling the time thing...

Quigg / Frampton would be too much of a surprise because there would be some talk or rumours floating around about the fight and how close it is etc.

Kameda / Mc Donnell is a big possibility but I would actually go for the date that DeGale takes on Dirrell and that Sky are going to be showing it on.

If it is just announcing McDonnell it will be 18/4 probably New York.

I expect on a Matchroom level it will be just be the Mcdonnell announcement and the fact that the Selby show has been moved to May and possibly a date for Degale`s shot in America on Sky so people shouldn`t get there hopes up for anything bigger on that front.Sky could announce that they got the Manny-Floyd fight through.

It's probably Carl froch's next move...either that or he's going to announce that he's the new face of L'Oreal. It's because he's worth it.

Possibly, Huck v Bellew? Or is that too early?

I hope not, I can't endure the build up to another Bellew fight (and the subsequent non 'performance' when it happens)

I may be completely wrong but I was waiting yesterday for the announcement on the purse bid for Mitchell v Linares. This news never came and I am fairly sure that I read news it was due to take place yesterday and I didn't see anything about it being put back. Could be about that fight.

1, Kameda v McDonnell date
2, Selby v Gradovic date
3, Mitchell v Linares date
4, Degale v Dirrell date
5, Stevenson v Bika on Sky Sports 4th April(its an afternoon show at USA time so decent time here)
6, Mayweather v Pacquiao on PPV

Sky have got the Newcastle show on the 4th April, can't see them picking Stevenson-Bika up if it clashes with it, especially only 2 weeks out from the show.

No Hucks mandatory has been called

Bellew had the chance to fight a final eliminator but decided to do acting instead

Personally was hoping for some sort of announcement regarding the Birmingham show soon. Maybe Kal or Eggingtons opponents? Its looking pretty bare at the moment and not too far away.
