From Rejean Tremblay, La Presse..
He would like to move up in weight and go for an Haitian showdown with Stiverne.
Say the timing is perfect now has he is getting older and won t come back at his weight after...
Roy Jones Jr was his idol and he wants to do some crazy stuff to look like him. Don t think it s a great idea

If he fights at HW Bermane is the perfect guy to fight. Jean can take a good punch & Bermane isn't nearly as athletic as Sergey so all Jean gots to do is outbox him smartly for 36mins & don't get touched too many times.

That is the french links.
I agree he could run is way to victory, but doesn t sound like a good fight incoming. Plus look what happen to Roy after is heavyweight trip.. Maybe it s the weight change or the couple punch he got hit with but he changed for ever then

Crazy.
Those punches from Sergey must have unseated his mind.

Cleverly had the same effect. Ran to CW and is now coming back.

Dude clearly doesn't want to see kovalev again
HBO was going a little overboard with calls for rematch
The reason is was great is you had hard puncher vs a good chin
Who knows what that fight took out of pascal though

He must think its all coming to an end his fairly successful career at light heavy if he planning on going up it should be to cruiserweight
going to the next weight would almost certainly spell a painful end.........

Yet another guy Kovalev will chase UP a division. Cleverly. Now Pascal? I don't recommend Jean jump 2
classes tho. Just go to cruiser. That division stinks.

It doesn't. 4 decent champs, good veterans (Wlodarcyk, Afolabi, Arslan, Ramirez, Chakhiev), young contenders (Mchunu, Makabu, Glowacki) and excellent prospects Usyk & Kudryashov. Dorticos, Gassiev, Wright, Shimmell, Beljo, Nielsen, Briedis, Bujaj can be contenders (some of them might even win the title one day). It's not bad.

Those punches must have kicked the sense of reality out of him. Maybe he could loose excessive muscle mass he carries around and go down in weight. He has no busyness in higher weights.

Exactly. He is kind of small for LHW. Boxers don't need those body-builder muscles, so he could lose some of them.

I don t see much of a difference between Stiverne and Ruiz.
Ok Ruiz was champ when he fought Roy but he was no better than Stiverne.
Anyway I don t think he should do this he can still cash with another fight with Bute, even Hopkins.

Usyk would beat Pascal right now.

He will get beat the hell up if he does. I like his attitude...not TOO much bravado and subtly humble. He doesn't fool anyone with his macho act. Which means, I believe he is a genuinely good dude like Andre Ward, Golovkin, Cotto, Holyfield, etc. Promoting fights takes some acting of course.
I just don't think his style is conducive of a long-term career or a tremendous number of total fights (like Manny Pac, BHop, Toney or Wlad K). Pascal usually let's the opponent try to hit him cleanly and attempts to turn fights into mind games. Stiverne is a big boy. I mean, his man-boobs alone are freakin' massive so his punch has to be at least as strong as anyone Pascal has let tee off on his chin. No disrespect to either guy, and all jokes aside; this is truly a bad idea.

Man boobs...
I'm sure Pascal thinks he can run circles around Stiverne and pot shot his way to victory. I am interested to see how Stiverne does in any fight next after taking so many big shots to the head from Wilder. I am guessing Stiverne won't fight him since it is certainly a no win fight for him.

Pascal isn't Jones and Stiverne isn't Ruiz
