Realisticy, how good is May/Pac going to be?

me, being realistic on this one and expecting a lot of moving and chasing and not as much of a actual fight as fans hope for, also for a ref who will have spoken so many words before the fight with haymon and floyd adn ellerbe, that maybe it wont end up with kenny "paid out" bayless who refd total crap realy not letting maidana fight his fight at all and always breaking, maybe it is not getting that far, but it wont be a pit bull fight either and i think rarely will the ref give manny his chance inside. i hope i am wrong, because i want a 2-1 kind of caliber of fight.

i am still realistic and say 3-, meaning good, but sadly with tendency to just being an okay fight.

i think it actualy comes down to, who comes out to be the better boxer, if floyd is more dominant than pacquiao, than expect moving, waiting, moving, waiting, one punch, circling around and ud win for floyd, boring, like guerrero type was. 3-4

if pac has the upper hand, than expect floyd to be chased down and having difficulties dealing with mannys superior quickness and expect a 2-3 kind of fight.

Can't wait. I think Floyd will fight in which case it's going to be awesome. If he gets on his bike I don't think he'll keep Pacquiao off enough to produce his usual stink out.

IMO, if Floyd gets overly aggressive, he will look like Hatton sucking air on the canvas. I fully expect Floyd to stay on the defensive and potshot.

I hope I'm wrong.

I think it'll be a bit of a let down for many people. Both have regressed but Manny more so than Floyd IMO. I expect Floyd to be defensive, to be mobile and to win a rather boring but conclusive points decision.

This fight should've happened 4 / 5 years ago to define the P4P best. It's too late now.

sure it shpudlve happened 2009, obvious.

you realy do think manny regressed more than floyd?

last time they fought, manny had better reflexes, was sharper and quicker against algieri, in comparinson to floyd, who completly lost his footowork and a lot of his overall quickness in maidana II...

but, i do think, that doesnt matter, i think that both manny and floyd are training hardcore, 100 % focus and that both will be in a very good shape come fight.

The excitement is a 10, so the actual fight isn't likely to live up to that expectation. There aren't a whole lot of 10's in excitement that are 10's on Sunday.

I don't think there will be any fireworks. Floyd has too much to lose and a lot to gain, so he will fight his normal way. Manny has nothing to lose, but I don't think that he got enough to overcome Floyd's defense.

Manny will press forward relying on his hand speed and his footwork. Floyd will spoil the fight, he will try to contain Manny's explosiveness. If he can do that, he will control (and thus win) the fight. But it would be a boring contest.

If Manny starts well, scores a knockdown - it could be an exciting spectacle.

What number do I select for a one-sided beating so bad Freddie Roach has to throw in the towel around round 9 or 10?

911, then ask for a doctor.

I know its been said already but if this was 5 years ago then I can imagine it being a right old ding dong...

however I think its going to be a lively fight but i can see each boxer being really cautious for the first few rounds. :bag:

To me I think it is going to be very good. seeing Floyd and Manny in the same ring will be pretty surreal in itself. its a 50/50 fight and I think both men will have their moments and need to pull out all the stops to take the win. to the average casual fan it will probably be a let down. wont be enough blood and guts to satisfy the hordes of casual fans expecting a rocky vs drago type of fight

I think it's going to be great. And the people who think Manny is shot will look like idiots, like they usually do.

I voted 5. The more exciting this fight is, the worse it will be for Mayweather, so I expect Mayweather to be running and pot shooting non-stop. I think if one fighter tries really hard to stink out a fight, then that's all that is required for it to stink.

The best we can hope for is a mildly entertaining or even a slightly intriguing affair.

Whilst that's true, the anticipation in the interstice between the ring announcements & the first bell will be... immense.

Mass expectant hush, like (with the sound of Dana White in the background, crying).

 :TU:

The fight game is 90% hype 10% fight. It still amazes how many "boxing fans" don't know this yet.

Seriously, 2 of the greatest ever to lace a pair of gloves are going to get it on and idiots like you think it's going to be "slightly intriguing" at best. I wonder why you even bother following the sport, you don't seem to know very much about it and are morei nterested in who Al Haymon isn't doing business with than the fight game.

you should do us all a favour and delete your sorry ass from the board.

How could it not?

People want to see the best fight the best and that's what they will get, not a bar room brawl.

I don't see a scenario where this fight isn't going to be good. Pac Man being aggressive and Floyd countering, it will be toe to toe.

Although Floyd has been in boring fights, I don't recall many Pacquiao fights that have been boring. Always ultra aggressive, and I don't see this being any different.

exactly, and when a pacquiao fight was boring like pac-mosley or pac-algieri, than it was not pacs fault, but the opponents fault, because they started running like a chicken on extasy

In my humble opinion, I think Floyd is going to beat the piss out of Manny. It will be competitive for 3 or 4 rounds. Then Floyd begins to land at will, and the ref stops it somewhere around round 9 or 10.
The highlight films will include Pac fan reactions, like when he got KTFO by JMM.
