Where's celerygolf when you need him?

A caught a clip of the end on You Tube, seemed to be very well supported, and Symonds suffered a heavy knockout, pitching face first on the canvas, after Lomax was regularly catching him with his long shots.

Yes, a tidy and skilled boxer.

Was a really entertaining fight with a brutal ko. Not sure if Mike has taken a lot more power by going upto light middle or just just thought fornicate it, last fight I'm gonna sit on my shots a bit.

Best I've seen him tbh can't wait to see rerun of whole fight.

If I knew how to post the vid of last round I would, but don't know how to do it via iPhone.

Thanks, why's he retiring? He can still cut it just under top domestic level and he must still enjoy the buzz?

Runs full time business and wants to spend more time with his family. Think he's going for seconds licence so he can still be around the scene.

I think if he'd had the right backing he could have gone further. Wasn't he a handy Amateur?

He had long amateur career and won aba. One of the reasons I guess he's retiring, been training all his life. Rod of rj's gym has trained him for last two years and you could see the difference. Spent too long under Paul Cook imo, and cookie only had time for his son and Mitchell.

Having seen some videos of the build up, Symonds must feel a bit silly.

Lomax just wanted to talk about the fight where as Symonds was more interested in calling him every name under the sun.

Glad Lomax won

Yes, same here. Symonds lost his cool during building up...

Funny you say that, he sounds just like Paul Cook's son Nicky. Same voice.

Anyway good luck to him as he showed class in the build up. Symonds went a bit over the top IMO. I did see an interview with him (Symonds) on youtube showing off his caravan. He came across as a nice fella. Just in the build up he came across a bit of a toss pot.

:bag:

He came across really bad pre-fight, and most of it was all bullshit. He continually went on about Mike ignoring him after prizefighter. It's just not in his nature. I've been with him when people approach him who are chewing his ear off, and he has time for everyone.
