Charlie Edwards and the mute button

Anyone else made a mental note to not bother watching Charlie Edwards' fights because of his stupid grunting?

Boxers are apparently supposed to exhale strategically to get more power and endurance, but this guy seems to shout YEAH or UGH every time he throws a punch. Distracting and annoying

Remember Juan Diaz? & Zack Padilla? Fighters who go "Oohhh-OOOOMMMMFF-Oooh-OOOOMFFF" every time they throw a shot get me instantly rooting against them, & I watched every one of that pairs' fights praying the opponent would chin them just to shut them the fvck up.

When Monica Seles did it I just felt funny in the underwear, imagining what she'd sound like at... er, other times. The same train of thought where Diaz et al are concerned, however, is not one I wish to pursue.

Maybe sounded worse as the arena was emptying??

It is annoying though,I was always under the impression that it wasn't good for your breathing, seems fighters like Edwards put as much effort into grunting than punching, getting hit to the body's bad enough without getting caught while taking the big inhale that's needed to let out such a loud grunt

Ricky Hatton was another one who done it

I don't think shouting whilst throwing a punch is a good idea. If you get countered on the chin the power is multiplied heavily if your mouth is open.
