RJJ returned on saturday night at the tender age of 46 with a stoppage win, razor ruddock also chipped in at 51 with a stoppage win....lets roll back the years.
we want ruddock v briggs...

Not to mention Tarver is still about at 46 his son has fought on his undercard too.

I don't mind Briggs and RJJ doing these exhibitions tbh. Providing they don't get taken seriously or climb rankings.
Put it this way, if RJJ was fighting a stiff at my local town hall, I'd prob have a few beers and go check it out.

Ruddock and Jones 'fights' complete.
Ruddock looks dreadful even allowing for his age and inactivity and his opponent is possibly the slowest fighter in history.
Jones opponent was coming in off two one round losses.

My take on the Ruddock fight is a little less negative. Yes, he didn't look great, but the man's 51 and been out for almost 14 years.
Foreman didn't look very good early in his comeback. Ruddock's opponent was fit, could punch, enormous and tried to win. Not like the blown up cruisers george used to beat up.
Ruddock also seemed very likeable in the interview like he's mellowed out.
Having said all that, he's 51 and shouldn't really expect to bcome ranked and really he shouldn't be fighting. Although bashing up a few journeyman and maybe challenging for the Canadian title against a low level champ is not out of reach.
Anyway it's his choice, though boxing pro at 51 is inadvisable and it would be best if he retired.

Oh I agree with you.... What I'm saying is that all things considered the opponent was decent and the result isn't that bad.
But yes, it's preferable if he stayed retired.
He'll carry on though. So in that case the best likely scenario is a couple of wins, a Canadian title shot then hopefully sense will kick in and he'll retire again
