Next for Cotto

He has a TBC scheduled for June and it's listed as being for his middleweight title.

Now going by the recent discussions about GGGs next bout, everybody at middle weight is pretty much tied up.

Heiland is no1 ranked by WBC and I is available
surely the likely opponent.

Taking into account that Cotto and Heiland have the same adviser, I hope they don't fix that fight. The version of Heiland which destroyed Macklin is too much for Cotto.

Thats actually the more headliner fight imho lol. That Heiland guy is pretty unknown although granted a legit 160lber. Thing is I don't think anything that goes down on June 6 with Miguel is gonna be all that exciting it would seem. I'm even seeing rumors of Felix Trinidad being offered crazy sums of money by Roc Nation to come outta retirement to fight Miguel these days things are so wide open & unappealing for Miguel.

Didn't realize Heiland was with the same guy. Or if I did I had forgotten.

I think the wave of the future in boxing is gonna be advisors. Thus knowing who is with what advisor will be as important to know as who's with which promoter now.

I am still hoping it is Andrade, since he has no fight scheduled. He is big enough to fight at 154 or 160, so weight won't be an issue, but money might.
He turned down the Charlo fight in December because they only offered him $300K and one month notice. He would have taken the short notice fight for $500K. Hell even guys like Rios make twice that amount. He signed the contract in January for more money but Charlo decided to fight Vanes instead.

Andrade would be a tough opposition which is why it's not gonna happen. Maybe the feather-fisted Charlo who just "defeated" Martirosyan and looks good on paper while posing little danger for Cotto ?

I don't know enough about Helland to really judge but I wouldn't read too much into the Macklin win, I suspect Matthew is done.

It is not the win itself, but how Heiland looked in that fight. His work rate was huge and he wasn't bothered by anything Macklin landed on him.

Before Heiland, Mcklin "lost" or "draw" at best against the Spanish journeyman José Yebes. So I wouldn't give so more credit to Heiland for that victory.

This is laughable. Macklin is SHOT to pieces. And Cotto is the A++++ side in this fight. He'll make sure this clown Heiland is properly PED tested if that fight were to come off. He probably hasnt been properly drug tested in his life.

The only clown among them is Cotto who pretends to be a MW champion and being afraid to fight any top middleweight.

Cotto should have let go of the WBC middleweight strap ASAP so people would care about who he was fighting next after the great win he had
to gain the WBC middleweight tittle instead he held on to it for what to milk all he could for what :?? to look like the worst ducker out their
running back to the jr middleweight so GGG can have the kitchen all to himself WHO CARES WHO'S NEXT.
