DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??

So that's a no from you, but he may be on to something especially when you think about it logically.......I mean this is boxing you know (not exactly known for being the cleanest sport in the world).ikorolev wrote:That's not the first stupid statement or action from Evander.
Many fans want Manny to win just to add intrigue to the WW division. However, it doesn't mean that judges in Vegas will help Manny. That is just ridiculous.KBB wrote:So that's a no from you, but he may be on to something especially when you think about it logically.......I mean this is boxing you know (not exactly known for being the cleanest sport in the world).ikorolev wrote:That's not the first stupid statement or action from Evander.
Let's not act if judges can't be bought, did you see the Sweet Pea vs Chavez fight?? No person in their right mind can tell me that fight was even remotely close.ikorolev wrote:Many fans want Manny to win just to add intrigue to the WW division. Ricky_ wrote:Mayweather's never been screwed by judges. Infact he got the benefit vs Castillo. Only CJ Ross has tried to screw him with her draw card in canelo fight.
Mayweather also got a lot from refs in his career, has he ever even been deducted a point? Dropped Gatti in rd1 when hitting on a break. Got out of a knockdown vs Zab. Should've been DQd vs Zab when his seconds entered the ring. Cortez just guessed he dropped Ortiz with a legal shot since his back was to the action.
Pacquiao on the other hand has been screwed by judges twice. In JMM1 a judge didn't know how to score 3 knockdowns. Bradley 1 is possibly the very worst I ever saw.
Watch the gatti r1 again. Ref yells break and gatti steps off, floyd fires.KBB wrote:Ricky_ wrote:Mayweather's never been screwed by judges. Infact he got the benefit vs Castillo. Only CJ Ross has tried to screw him with her draw card in canelo fight.

What break in the Gatti fight did he hit him at? I never heard the Ref yell "break" and it was Gatti's fault for assuming that the Ref was going to do something at that moment, it was just another case of "Protect yourself at all times".
I agree he got out of the knockdown with Zab because the Ref somehow missed that call, he didn't personally do anything wrong in the fight with Zab and therefore had no reason for them to dq him. You have said a lot of things here that are incorrect but I suspect that's just because you hate Floyd, still and all none of that has any bearing on this fight.
Holyfield has made a valid point.
I watched it again and the Ref yelled "stop punching" but he never defined when to actually stop by physically breaking them and he never stated when it was safe to resume fighting, he motioned like he was going to come between them but never actually jumped in between them until Floyd had already knocked down Gatti.Ricky_ wrote:Watch the gatti r1 again. And you don't know the rules re: floyd-zab. Seconds enter equals dq. See Molina v Kirkland. Molinas corner man enters after the bell but technically the round was ongoing as molina was being given a count at the time as he was dropped at the bell. Molina did "nothing wrong" as you put it, but dem da rulez.
Youre love for Floyd makes you look every bit the fool you are. The ref said stop punching and he punched.KBB wrote:I watched it again and the Ref yelled "stop punching" but he never defined when to actually stop by physically breaking them and he never stated when it was safe to resume fighting, he motioned like he was going to come between them but never actually jumped in between them until Floyd had already knocked down Gatti.Ricky_ wrote:Watch the gatti r1 again. Why blame Floyd? He was supposed to take advantage of the fighter not protecting himself at all times, what part of that do you not understand?
Your hate for Floyd makes you look like every bit the idiot you are. The Ref said stop punching, Floyd stopped at that moment and the Ref didn't jump in so in all right Mayweather had the right to continue just as Roy Jones and Lampley both stated but I guess you know about boxing that Jones, right?Ricky_ wrote:Youre love for Floyd makes you look every bit the fool you are.
