so they will have the same adviser and the same promoter making the fight very probable. How will it end if they fight this year ?

Hmmm. I thought Artur was already with Haymon. Sh!t its hard to keep up with his roster. They need a website.

Still a fair number of unknowns with Beterbiev, who I think is slightly overrated, such as how he holds up later in fights and the quality of his chin; I've heard good things about his durability based on his amateur career but going down against Page makes me reluctant to conclude that it's anything special and I think he's got some defensive shortcoming that make it important for him to take a punch well. Adonis clearly seems more skilled to me and I'm not sure that Beterbiev's powerful but crude attack would be as effective as Adonis's more refined approach, not to mention that the latter has excellent power and probably won't be out-gunned in that respect like Beterbiev's opponents to date have been.

At this point I feel more comfortable picking Stevenson but he's also getting up there I won't be surprised if Beterbiev, who is admittedly very promising, surpasses him in the near future.

Idk about him being overrated. Maybe by myself cuz I'm hyping him as the the future conqueror of Adonis & Sergey, but I think most people just got the standard amount of respect owed to a guy who's moving fast in a sport where you usually fight 20 guys over 3-4 years who are more or less just there to lose.

The knockdown incident I don't take that seriously at this point, but I can understand where you're coming from. A lot of these guys who fight legit guys/competitive guys early on often get dropped it seems. Believe Oscar got dropped by a journeyman back in the day. Guillermo got dropped early on. I think this is something these guys with extensive amateur careers are a lil more apt to run into when moved into competitive fights faster than usual. Some headgear induced or point fighting overly ambitious sloppiness maybe idk. I thought him getting up quick & seemingly fine & massacring his opponent in the 2nd was more telling then the knockdown.

He's favored to beat Stevenson in this poll and I often see predictions that he'd currently beat Stevenson and/or Kovalev, but I don't think those are warranted based on what he's done so far. Beterbiev was an excellent amateur but Cloud was his only professional opponent of note and Tavoris was entering the bout on what I think should've been three straight losses. Beterbiev is obviously a good puncher, as evidenced through his unusual number of heavy stoppages as an amateur and the way professional opponents have reacted to his shots, but I also think he's shown clear technical and defensive limitations that the top fighters in the division, unlike technically limited sluggers like Cloud, have a good chance of exploiting. Those limitations were shown against Page, but of course Page wasn't good enough to last long.

As for the chin, I'm not concluding that there are problems with it but when he's already been down despite not being hit with anything notable from a solid puncher I think the quality of his chin is a question. Sure, he got up, but what would happen if he were clocked by someone who punches significantly harder than Jeff Page?

Adonis vs Beterbiev is a whoever lands first sort of fight. 50/50. I could see Adonis troubling him quite a bit with his movement.

He'd probably not have been as careless to get into that situation if he'd been in with a more respected cat. I thought the knockdown was more about him being carless & a lil too excited or ambitious then he got hit with a big shot. I think that KD proves lil with his chin. Again I can understand your stance cuz I was one of the guys questioning Oscar's chin from 1993(?) til he fought Tito in 1999 lol, but I don't even see Artur's chin as questionable off of him just getting sloppy & dropped.
