have you ever defended a fighter to the ends of the earth and then realised that he will make you look like a complete co*k
Yes after swearing my allegiance to Khan and fighting his corner the mirror of illusion has been shattered by the hammer of reality for this bizarre fight with ALgieri. not that i dont think algieri a good boxer but hes not in the same league as the suspected fights I was gunning for
I swear i will not defend khan and as Geroge W Bush once said
“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

Just relax! The Brook/Khan fight ain't big yet. It's only big in the UK so that doesn't count to Khan. Khan wants to be a worldwide superstar like Floyd & Manny and he knows he can only do that in America. Brook needs two more fights on American TV against bigger names but lesser fighters. Brook/Alexander, Brook/Broner then he's big enough in America to fight Khan.

Come on, man?! Give poor Khan a break.
As the great George W. Bush once said "A lot of folks out there are working hard to put food on their family."

sorry busker mate but i have always defended Khan and jumped to his side when people called him a ducker but this fight has upset me
ajwesty13 once stated " a lot of folks out there would rather have steak than chips and tomato sauce"
Khan v CA = chips
Khan v TB = steak

Nah. I mean I don't think you can take that level of responsibility with ones actions & in a competitive sport sh!t happens. Thus there is always a degree of failure in the ring that'll be possible or guys are potentially crazy f#cking psychopaths outside the reality that you know them in that it'd be impossible to know about.
And if you are just defending silly sh!t thats on you for defending silly ass sh!t & you just need to realize you are saying silly sh!t & admit you're wrong & reboot.

I know what ya mean reg, but Khan stated he wanted a big bucks in the states and sorry to say CA is not a big bucks affair.
The only thing that i can say in Khan Defence (see still have a litle bit of love left lol)is maybe a warm out fight and he hopes to fight the winner of Pac and MW. however I am not sure MW wants khan and as outrageous as this sounds he might cause MW problems, but Pac will as he loves a tear up.

funny timing to jump ship once khan is back
and taken seriously again. my take is: don't
put anyone on a pedestal, then you do not
have to take them down.

Fwiw I was just talking in general not about this Amir situation specifically.
But on that topic I could see some logic, as discussed in another thread, for why he's taking this sorta fight so I can't necessarily agree this is one of those silly ass sh!tty opinions people defend.
There are so many variables involved in this sport. And as fans we got incomplete info to base on if anything is a awful option although the excitement level of any particular fight is much easy to attain. Having said that fans are fickle & they could love you today & hate you tomorrow or vice versa so I think its wrong for fighters to think too much about any stance fans are taking with them now & just try to maintain some goal & how to best get there.
What I do know is Amir is really gonna need to mess things up to not be a player on some level in the 147lb future thus idk if he can make a bad move that'll wreck him. Imho he's hoping beyond hope he can score a bigger then ever fight with Floyd or Manny post May 2 or even get a chance vs the loser, if one or both of them don't retire. And then if both retire (as I expect), fighting a lesser guy right now insures he's among the top 4 or so guys deciding who's running things post-the MayPac era. Either option is gonna get Amir a bunch of $$$ & any competitive fight he could do in May will potentially be worth more in 12 months or less. I think Haymon has probably told him as such.

I agreee with most of what you say Reg mate but no offence to CA but what will Kahn benefit form this? a warm up is a fight i thought to brush on the skills needed for the bigger fight and keep you ticking over.
level wise Khan is a few above CA and a little test is what is needed to sharpen your skills and work on exercises for the bigger fight. I would suggest to andy murray "hey if you need a playing partener then i am your man" ... "like you say this isn't a exact science but can you imagine if CA KO Khan, thatll set his plans back at least 18 momths min.
btw
in case you are wondering this what i look like when playing tennis

I'd say this is more a stay busy fight then a warm up fight if we are labeling it. So the main goal is just staying busy thus Chris is a very respectable stay busy option.
If Amir were to fight Kell or Keith now there is less money for all parties. And Amir is the guy with his feet closer out the door then Keith or Kell so I could understand either of those guys being cool with shorter money then Amir would be. So Amir obviously looks like the scaredy cat & Kell & Keith look like the guys willing to fight anyone on the planet.
I kinda see Amir as like a Miguel kinda guy right now. He's got some sexiness as the B side vs HUGE names & he has much appeal to the guys coming up to build up their name/resume. Its a business-y kinda spot thats hard to look like a tough mfer in when there are so many checks & balances to be considered with any particular fight.

haha (tickeld me that
I know you talk sense mate thanx you have talked me round. CA will be a fight to keep on his toes, i suppose a lot of fight leverage is based on stock and activity
na thurman and kell is not a viable opiton if he wants MW or Pac. i do feel sorry for Khan as it has scuppered his arrangements when MW gave him the runaround and he seems focused on that and until it happens nothing else will do
so i am back on the Khan bandwagon

As the great George W. Bush once said "A lot of folks out there are working hard to put food on their family."
I agree 100% Khan just wants to practice the sport he loves. Like George W. Bush said about doctors practicing the profession they love
George W. Bush wrote:Too many OB/GYN’s aren’t able to practice their love with women all across the country.
