Rigondeaux's manager said they would be happy to fight Quigg.

Lets see what Hearn does with this one. I would love to see it, although the Cuban would be way too good for Scott.

No chance of this happening even though Hearn could get this at the Manchester Arena for Quiggs next fight without issues.

I think Quigg moves up soon if he doesnt fight Frampton. Thats going off what Gallagher has said btw.

Gary Hyde would accept a fight against Frampton, Quigg or Santa Cruz, in my opinion he's coming across more than a little desperate. Hyde really seems to be struggling getting Rigondeaux a meaningful fight, I'm not sure that he has the clout or the know how compared to some of the other promoters knocking around out there.

And considering a prospective Quigg vs Rigondeaux bout, I say two things.

1 - I give this fight less than 10% of happening - if the fight happens then -

2. - He will lose and relinquish his WBA "regular" Title.

I thin it's all smoke screen and mirrors. Hearn is no fool, he knows if this were to happen Quigg would lose his title and his unbeaten record. Then, that would spell the end of the Scott Quigg - cash cow venture.

If Quigg has to fight Rigo, I think he'll move up to feather instead.

It just shows how poor a "sport" that Boxing has become. Fighters dodging the best and moving up weights to avoid the best in their division.

Hearn and Quigg are not alone in this, but that doesn't make it right. So frustrating for all of us that the best fights are avoided.

Quigg should fight Kid Galahad if Frampton fight cant be made but I think they will go for Donaire ahead of Rigondeaux

Rigo team wanted this fight due to the wba belt being shared as it were ...I Like Quigg but cant see him get past this one, rigo has miles to much skill.

I've been saying this for years, whenever people talk about a fighter and say stuff like "he's been a World Champion in 2 weights", I just shrug it off and say "did he beat the best"?

It's partly the reason I have the utmost respect for Carl Froch. A guy who has stayed in his weight division and fought every top contender and champion who was about during his time. I'd always much, much rather see that then 5/6/7 different boys jumping and hopping up and down the weights and fighting for vacant titles, adding to their own hype.

I don't think Quigg Vs Rigondeaux sells at all. Hardly any of the casual boxing fans even know who Rigondeaux is.

There is no money to be made in this fight and I think Hearn knows this one is too much risk for very little return..

Rigo asked WBA to mandate Quigg defense. Thats the only chance of this fight happening but so far WBA does not seem to be willing to do it. I still have enough respect for Quigg to believe he would not vacate if it was mandated.

I am a massive Frampton fan and although if might be a bit biased I genuinely think Carl would beat Rigo! I think he would KO Quigg too but I don't think Scott is an easy nights work for anyone!

Yeah through no fault of his own. Joe calzaghe chose not to fight him. And Kessler had a lon term injury.

McGuigan also claims that Frampton is no.1 in the division.
It would be an easy fight to make - Frampton's not got an opponent but I'm predicting another easy defence.

Fair question.
Anyone can talk their way to being the best, Carl is very likable and is marketed brilliantly but no point calling out the best if you're not going to fight them.

Although I'd definitely be rooting for Frampton if they fought, I don't think he gets near Rigondeaux tbh.

Rigondeaux is too good for his own good, they should get him on the same bills as Lomachenko - they are the brilliant amateur standouts and are so well schooled, so quick and talented they should be big names and well paid.
