Former Welsh flyweight star Robbie Regan has appeared in court accused of burgling a house. The 34-year-old appeared at Newport Crown Court on Friday with two other men to deny a charge of aggravated burglary.
Regan, and the two others, are accused of entering a house on Church Street in Bargoed carrying baseball bats.
One of the defendants threatened to kill the occupant during the alleged burglary.
The three pleaded not guilty and were granted bail on condition they do not contact prosecution witnesses.

Not again!!!!!
What's going on with Boxer this year? It seems every week a Boxer is involved with crime as either a victim or accused of a crime.
Has Robbie Regan got a history of this sort of thing? Always seemed a nice bloke on TV interviews.

Dunno. But aggravated burglary is not a good charge. Bird for sure if he's found guilty.

Regan was a cracking little fighter and on the verge of fighting for a genuine world title when he was ruled out with brain abnormalities, if my memory serves me.
Shame to think he has lowered himself to this sort of filth.

There was a documentary done by BBC Wales on Dai Gardiner a few years ago, Dai discussed how he would let the group of disabled kids watch the stars train and chat to them. He said, one of the kids really idolised Robbie.
I hope he isn't guilty, just imagine what those kids think of him now if he is guilty.

The last thing I had heard about Robbie was a couple of years ago I read that he opened a Supermarket somewhere in Wakes.
Has he got a trade outside Boxing?

Was that so he would know how to disconnect the burglar alarm?
Only joking - lets hope that the allegations are found to be untrue.

No, Robbie does not have a history of doing this kind of thing. I know that his history of employment has been at best sporadic and he has been down on his luck for a while now. I sincerely hope that he is not guilty of this crime.
Thanks for the feedback. 8)

Sounds like he's still in serious shit. Aggravated burglary combined with ABH is bird for sure if he's found guilty. I hope he walks. Really do. Regan was one of my favourite fighters.

Put yourself in the shoes of the bloke who got the tuning.
Three fellas force their way into your house and start laying into you, would you want one of them to walk away from it?
I wouldn’t, don’t care who he is, or was.
