Upcoming fight comments are more than welcome, but including their true or false media reported past ain't.
Anyone that cares to entertain that, will score 30 days holiday......maybe permanent

It's funny that this has all of a sudden arisen after the post was made about Manny supposedly being involved in some death conspiracy but I can recall reading tons of libelous gibberish about Mayweather being involved in murders and everything and still nothing was stated about this here on the forum.
Anyway, I think it's a great thing that none of this type of talk should be allowed here no matter who it is about especially if there are no substantiated facts (like someone convicted in a court of law) to support it.

Yes, I think some cows are definitely more sacred than others.
I have seen all sorts of true and false media reports posted here.
To my knowledge, this is the first time I have heard of anyone having a problem with it here.
Oh well...

That's because it is the first time this has ever been done here and it's just because it is Manny, there were tons of links to bogus stories about Floyd involved in murders and everything else but nothing was stated about libel charges/slander or legal matters being levied at this forum on this board about it.
It appears that there is a double standard but only when it comes to making a post about Manny, anyone else (especially Floyd) is fair game to say whatever, whenever you want. Go and read in any thread about Floyd to see how many DEFAMMATORY comments were made but nothing like this was stated before.
Apparently and now suddenly it arises in regards to things being stated about Pacquiao though. Things that make you go hmmm.............

To be fair there are a lot of questionable bogus stories on the Net that involves both fighters. Unfairly and Unjust. This is a highly anticipated fight. And there might be more bogus news reports coming out. The moderator is asking those who start threads to think twice about bringing questionable material to the forum. I say respect it. It's a simple request.

I agree with that statement of bringing questionable material to the forum but it shouldn't work only one way, go and find us a time when this was addressed back when people were posting all types of crap about Floyd supposed legal trouble, rumors or whatever??
I'd be willing to bet anyone here that you won't find it, why? Because nobody cares who says anything about Mayweather rather it is slanderous, libelous or not.
This only came out because it is about Manny, I've read tons of junk posted here about Jermain Taylor, Kelly Pavlik and anyone else who has been on the other side of the law or rumors about them doing something out of character but nothing was stated here in regards to this, not until it was about Pacquiao.
I will respect the rule on this but it should apply to all boxers and all members of this forum.

The real problem is that there is nothing I posted that would be found libelous or slanderous.
They are reports from news outlets, for the most part very reputable ones.
And even so, I took care to emphasize (when necessary) that they were rumors when referring to Pac.
There was no legal reason to delete or lock anything.

Like I said, this goes to show the double standard they have here whenever one says anything even remotely negative about Manny. Go and research the history here to see how much slanderous, libelous or other type of defamatory comments have been made here about Floyd or any other boxer for that matter and you will see that there is some fakeness going on here.
Plain and Simple, I keep it 100 all the time and that's why I'm hated but it's cool though because this is a forum and it's all about opinions. I've been on numerous other forums and I've never seen anything stated about someone coming at the forum itself in regards to claims that some person made, opinions are that of our own-not those of a forum owner so how can they be charged for something libelous??
The bottom line is this; I hope this crock of BS with slander and libel continues but that we get to see it being addressed here when it applies to any fighter, not just when someone says something someone doesn't like about Pacquiao.

This makes me LOL. Pacquiao isn't a saint and the fact he gets good PR regularly regardless of the skeletons in this closet is funny to me. I could care less how anyone perceives a fighter, with me being a fight fan. People around here believe flat out lies all the time, I still hear the same old recycled lies floating around this forum that came up years ago. But what's so damn funny is as soon as something negative was brought up about Manny suddenly everyone is trying to save Pacquiaos fake image. Pacquiao has been tricking the public for years hiding behind his smile and broken English, it's so transparent, yet since it's a good story they cling to it.
The media since 5 years ago have promoted this fight as good guy vs. bad guy. They would find all of the negative stories to do on Floyd and then even go as far as releasing lies to the public to make Pacquiao seem like some great roll model and the guy who could do no wrong. Pacquiao, Arum and Roach have lied to the media on numerous occasions that were defamatory toward Floyd and you didn't see Floyd crying like a little bitch filing a defamation of character lawsuit. Pacquiao is a fake and a fraud, more so than any boxer I've seen in years. He's a great fighter, but as far as the person he's been perceived to be is a hoax.

I think that is what this bogus libel thing comes down to.
And we have already seen someone disregard the warning with no penalty whatsoever.
Probably because they were not talking about Manny or whatever other sacred cow.

Is this only about Floyd & Manny? I remember someone calling a Cotto a fraidy cat specifically. Thats some libellous sh!t maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. This ain't no game. You can't just say...stuff. No less than Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has gone on record saying he KNOWS Cotto is not a fraidy cat. I think anyone saying Cotto or anyone else is a fraidy cat without a doctors note saying that said fighter in fact has been diagnosed with fraidy catism that that poster shall get a 30 day holiday or banishment.

Personally I think it is a great idea to eliminate stuff like that. How about prohibit links from other sites to be posted altogether? (maybe that has already been done) Its not like it is hard to find stuff on the internet that agrees with your way of thinking.
