Does anyone else think that the powers at be have been pretty lazy building this fight up (not that it needs it)? To get sales from the more casual fans would require a bit more effort. Perhaps in the next week or two we'll be sick of looking at them but I expected a bit more of a build up considering the fight is 5/6 years in the making.

When Froch Kessler was on, Ringside was all over it from about 12 weeks out. Every week.

I imagined there'd be the 24/7 shows on and a steady build up - I'm obviously buying the PPV and may even stay up/get up early and I am surprised it's not being hyped up.

I just think it's 5 years too late to be the meaningful blockbuster it once would have been, Pacquiao is not the fighter he was then anymore

Pacman is damaged goods after his bad knockout to Marquez. Personally im a bit bored of it and am more interested in Aldo v McGregor in UFC (and i dont even follow UFC - but do have irish blood). Least that fight consists of two prime fighters.

I'm looking forward to it but not as much as other fights,it'll be captivating to watch but will lack action I think,,I'm sure the only decent shots landing will be rare but sending the fans into rapture then going back to chess

The other part of me thinks both Pacquiao and Roach know their never gonna win by outboxing Mayweather and Manny has won all his fights well since the Marquez KO by outboxing his opponents, so Manny has to be busy and throw lots of punches,Floyd isn't as mobile as he used to be so Pacquiao should have success even if some miss ,if Mayweather can be pushed that close by Maidana then Manny's work rate alone can win him this fight,especially if Floyd is too busy spoiling and just getting the odd counter off

Floyd to handle Manny with ease like he did with Canelo and Maidana 2
Manny to outwork,outhustle and tag Floyd time and again,with Floyd just being too slow to counter

I say these are the 2 likely scenarios

What I will say is I can't wait till its over,i only got a computer in 2011,I've never known CS without the obsession of this fight

I think Mayweather can stop Pacquiao but I've a feeling he'll be content to play safe and the whole thing will be anti-climactic. Then the question is does Khan get a look in (if he beats this Chris Algeria) or, do they decide to print another boat-load of dosh each and rematch?

There will be the usual build up shows fight week and Sky are putting on adverts,There has been so much talk in the past there is not much more to say but people will be buzzing fight week.It will do big numbers on SKY ppv even on at that time,I know about 8 different groups of people who will buy it who rarely if ever buy ppv.It might not match Hatton-Mayweather as a ppv record but I wouldn`t be surprise if it did.

Drawing it out for five (six? I can't even remember now) years has meant every single wrinkle that's possible to go over has been gone over, again & again. Once the fight draws nearer & the inevitable media circus whips the general sports fan into a frenzy, then it'll probably rub off a bit on us, but we've been taken for fuckin' mugs by these two for half a decade.

Don't hate. McGregor Aldo is huge. The build-up has been incredible. McGregor can genuinely sell out Croke Park in Ireland and probably will next year.

I don't hate buddy. Hate is a strong word. I don't like UFC. I don't mind folk who do really. I'm sure it is a big fight but boxing is a better sport. No pissing about in boxing!
