Nah. Unless Abril has some unfortunate accident before they can fight - and then gets stripped of the title. Actually, maybe Derry should hire someone to break his leg or something. I'm sure there's someone lurking around the MGM camp that could sort that out.

Unless the ring is wheelchair accessible, Carroll has no chance of accompanying anyone.

Maybe he could do a fanman.

As far as I'm aware,Abril has been stripped and is now Champion in Recess and Darleys Perez is now WBA champ

I'm still confused as to wether he will b classed as a 'world' champion. I hope so, especially after all this messing round with abril!

Na he won't be ,nobody classes Interim champs as a proper titlist ,even the TV stations, it will get him in a good position though if he wins

Derry has opened up favourite with the bookies, so he could not ask for anymore I hope he does it, although I did think Barroso would start favourite.

You can get 11/10 Barroso outright and 7/4 stoppage, interesting odds.

Surely Abril has been stripped??? The WBA is already a total piss take but if they haven't stripped him they have sunk lower in my estimations!!!

allegedly told IFL last night that if Derry wins the interim WBA title, they are talking with Gary Shaw for him to face Darleys Perez next for the full title. Don't think there is a super champ in this weight division.
