Yeah, it's hard work sitting up for these 5. A.M jobs, by the time they come on, you're either so tired you can barely appreciate it, or so pissed it becomes a sideshow. I've been to a few boxing nights with people on here who know who they are, where everyone was so hammered by the time of the main event, that it barely even got a look in.

It clashes with The Crucible semis.

I'll order the PPV, but might tape it and watch it the next morning. The snooker is the priority.

Not name dropping... But can get you behind the scenes at York in December. Also know the bloke who runs the after party. All the big names there.

Know exactly what you mean! Usually it's the latter reason for me! I've told myself I'm having a nap during the day and not starting to drink til midnight but easier said than done with a house full of kids lol. I've even found myself watching it and being that pie eyed that I can't remember who's won by the time I awake from my stupor!

mmm yeah, I tried that for Hatton - Pacquiao. the efforts required to abstain merely meant that, being sober at midnight led to an absolute noseful and six or seven cans in the first two hours' drinking, and more of the same until fight time so I was still utterly wasted, probably more so, by the time the fight came on.

The problem with York is it'd cost me a fortune to travel there, and another fortune to stay there. Probably not feasible, I'm afraid.

me 2, gonna try to get a ticket, but think the second market will be too much for what I'm prepared to spend and not to keen on my prospects of getting one direct from MGM

Do you know which closed circuit you will use? i know MGM own the rights, so it will be one of their MGM's, but i've never watched it in closed circuit so not sure which hotel would be best.

I once went to the cricket t20 finals day as i knew the coach of what turned out to be the winning team. Had no idea who even made the final let alone the winner the following day! Long drinking sessions take their toll these days

I'd say MGM will be the best, it's where the action will be going down, and it's a big fight hotel - you'll have a lot of energy there. It might be an afterthought at some of the casinos.

Been a long time mate eh - they were fun nights, even if they did probably knock a few weeks of my life each time.

I'll absolutely love it if someone comes on here and says they got p*ssed and fell asleep about 2am, love it!
My last 5am fight was Oscar vs. Mayweather on the radio - which I managed but I think possibly Holyfield Tyson I set the alarm, woke up and promptly switched it back off again and went back to sleep.
Can someone please confirm but I anticipate this is a 20 quid ppv (I.e 5 pound above normal) and it's Sky Sports? I don't actually have the sports package. Can you buy the event on its own?
