So...I never saw where BoxBully agreed to the Whitaker fight...that to his credit his man just won.

All good....hats off to CanZ!! He definitely deserved the win. He's the new WBO champion.

However and with that said.....I now request the option to once again "manage" my fighter.

I made it clear that if BoxBully did not accept the fight....we did not want the fight.

We were taken in chains and forced to perform to the whim's of the "authorities"

It's all so humiliating. Sweet P had to snort an extra ration and a half of coke just to keep a up his spirits in this fight.

I respectfully request to have more influence on my fighters options in the future.

I would have accepted the fight had I been around. I was trying to get him to fight Duran and he's more of a threat (no disrespect to your fighter)

Buzz, I'm sorry you feel like you were forced to fight an opponent you did not want. This has happened to me in the past so I know what you're feeling. I've got a bunch of stuff to do lately so I just wanted to get the fights done as quickly as possible and didn't thoroughly look through the thread as I normally would and assumed everything was in order since Crease gave the ok.

Is that a violin playin?

Some may have full faith in your confession of will and intent. However, I prefer to believe you were cowering and shuddering at the thought. And only now have courage after the fact to assure the pantin' public of your never faltering courage and integrity.

Understood. I appreciate and understand the commitment it takes to do this. It's all good....and part of the fun.

However, I'm pretty sure it's not a feeling. It's a recognition. I'm not the sappy sort.

Okay Buzzster, normally I prefer to have these sorts of concerns dealt with privately, but since this has been brought up in public, I'll go through this with you on a blow-by-blow basis (if you'll pardon the pun) on this thread. This issue has reared it's ugly head only occasionally, but I can see how it causes grievance in the eyes of the Manager. Trust me, a similar thing happened to me back when TyzuForever was the Commissioner.

He did not agree to the fight, his manager was absent & Canzoneri was the only eligible contender who was unsigned. In this situation, the World Champion is expected to accept the challenge at hand.

Buzz, you were not able to agree a title defense.
You named Ike Williams as your opponent - and I quote:

Buzz, as you know when you were working with me - my role as the Commish is to strive to be impartial and objective. I have to treat everyone equally and I hope that I do. I have to ensure that the firm set of rules established throughout many years in the Sim are adhered to. Additionally, when pairing off unmatched fighters, I always look at the outstanding callouts (to give each Manager the direction of his own fighter) - but if there is no remaining opponent that he has challenged, then I always refer to the current rankings, in an effort to ensure that the fights are as competitive as possible. It is something that you are well aware of, as you mentioned yourself in last weeks Matchup thread, and I quote:

And you will always have it, Buzz. But I have to hold you to the same regard as I hold every other Manager, despite your stellar accomplishments in the sim. But I take your concern, and I can offer you as compromise - which will last until you decide otherwise. And here it is:

Whilst you are the Manager of a World Champion - should you prove unsuccessful in fighting a title defense, you will be given the option of vacating your World Title (without repercussions) instead of being signed to fight an unmatched eligible contender

- I hope that this compromise if to your liking, because speaking frankly, I don't know what else I can do with this. I honestly can't allow you to hold on to World Titles and not defend them.

as has always been the case, with the exception of those times when a commish allows otherwise. With choices come consequences, that's what makes the world a great place.
