ARIZA Rips the Bozo Roach a new one!!

He's not even worth responding to. He's so insignificant in this fight, he might as well be talking to himself. It's ridiculous. He constantly has to talk to remind people that he's actually involved. We forget that he's even involved until he opens up his stupid mouth. Freddie is just so insignificant in this that he has to continue to keep talking and talking to make himself relevant. It's kind of sad and goes to show you how desperate he is for attention. He's almost like a little kid," stated world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza, who shared his thoughts on non-stop trash talk made by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach heading into the May 2 showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Check out what else he had to say!

ALEX ARIZA ON FREDDIE ROACH'S TRASH TALK:

If you only knew how many people are reporting to us what an absolute, disorganized disaster that they're having over there. Really, Freddie's just an ornament. I mean, he's not doing anything. It's like the blind leading the blind over there. Physically, he knows for years he's not been able to get these fighters in shape, so the only thing that's left for him is to run his mouth and criticize and demean and denigrate everybody else who's doing the real physical work. It's so transparent. That's what the uneducated, the insecure, and the ignorant do; they criticize what they don't understand. He should just take whatever dignity and respect he has left, because he doesn't have any from fighters or trainers in this business, and just walk away.

He should just leave this sport with whatever dignity that he has left. It's really sad that somebody who claims that he's worked his whole life to get to this position has lost respect for not only other trainers, but fighters. His constant criticism and his demeaning attitude and statements towards accomplished fighters and accomplished trainers, always trying to take away from them, his envy is so transparent, it's embarrassing. His buffoonery is embarrassing is what it is. I would expect a little bit more from somebody who is a Hall of Fame trainer and claims to be one of the best trainers in the sport. For being such a great trainer, he's done a stellar job in making Zou Shiming the next Manny Pacquiao, like he claimed. I mean, he's done an amazing job. We're all beside ourselves with the work that he's done with that guy (laughing). Listen, let's not fool ourselves. Nobody's been worried about Freddie Roach for five years. Let's talk about the real trainers out there. The Robert Garcias, the Virgil Hunters, the Abel Sanchezs, the Mike Staffords, the Barry Hunters; those are the trainers that people are talking about these days. Guys who have built and nurtured fighters their whole careers and taken them to the top. Not get hand-fed accomplished champions because their an in-house trainer for certain promoters. Nobody talks about Freddie.

I can feel the uncertainty and insecurity in their statements. I can sense it. You can smell the fear on him. He wreaks of it. He wreaks of insecurity. He knows that him and his mouth has gotten them way over his head and he physically cannot take Manny to this level, so the only thing that's left for him to do is run his mouth and denigrate and criticize the work that everybody else is doing. He wreaks of insecurity and uncertainty. It's pathetic. We don't need to respond to anything because he's so insignificant in this. Nobody's worried about him. Trust me, bro, when I tell you that there's not a trainer or a fighter in this sport right now that worries about Freddie Roach.
Pure and factual ownage of the most overrated boxing trainer in history!! Roach has been spoonfed and I've always said this about him, he shouldn't have ever been considered a HOF trainer because realistically he didn't train Toney or Manny.

Sure he's helped Manny with a few things but let's just be honest with ourselves; it isn't like anyone else couldn't teach Pacquiao how to throw a right hook, the footwork I believe Manny has always had.

Robert Garcia deserves a ton of more accolades than Roach, at least he's raised a great deal of his fighters from scratch and the ones he didn't raise up you can honestly see that he has improved them by miles whereas Freddie has only helped very little in Manny's game and couldn't train Toney or Oscar in anything because both of them has forgotten more about the art than Roach has ever even known.

I read the first 2 lines and burst out laughing. Ariza calls Roach insignificant. That's like my local gym instructor calling Angelo Dundee insignificant.

Gtf brut

I get that Ariza is dismissing a guy with an incredible record.

But maybe, you should have kept reading.

There is a whole lot of what Ariza is saying that sounds dead on.

He does sound like a guy so worried about what is going to happen that he is saying a whole lot of things that maybe he shouldn't.

Why? Because he's telling the truth! It's funny that people like you will come here to defend an idiot like Freddie Roach, I mean, really? Dude Roach has never even remotely said anything intellectual, he's so stupid and has such a big mouth that he was the one who let the cat out of the bag on his own fighter when he outted Ariza for giving Manny those "special shakes".

And this is the dude that you are defending, wow but I guess the old adage is true and applies here to you; it takes an idiot to know one.

Roach is irrelevant?

coming from the schmo whose only contribution was mixing special shakes and overseeing circuit training, that's fvking rich. Fvcking conditioning expert, tits on a Nun, fvck off.

I am no expert on Roach, but can anyone name fighters he has taken from scratch to a championship belt?

Seems to me, Freddie is real good at getting a hold of guys who have already won a belt without him.

None! I can't understand why this people come here all butthurt to defend this clown (Roach), dude wasn't jack in his career as a boxer so he honestly can't train jack, his defense was worse than Gatti's and Rios' all put together.

Sure, you're right. But his contribution to boxing still exceeds that of Ariza by about 1000%

as for Ariza ragging SOMEONE ELSE for being an insecure egomaniac? Pots and kettles, and all.

The point was that Roach is doing all the trash talking in a fight that doesn't need or require it to sell itself, there's no need for him to be saying anything.

The stuff that Roach has been saying has not lend itself to build confidence in Manny or anyone who is supporting Pacquiao; I honestly believe that what Alex stated about other trainers is spot on.

What contribution has Roach made that supposedly exceeds any other trainer?? He didn't teach Toney jack and as far as I can see he's only imbued Manny with how to throw his right hook aka Manila Ice (I LOL to that name).

Take away Toney and Manny (who both probably would've achieved as much with any other trainer) and what do you have for Roach?? What achievements?

Kbb, your kidding, Pure and factual, ariza is telling the truth, HOW DO YOU KNOW HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH, WHERE IS THE FACTS, the only fact I know is that ariza is a disgruntled ex employee of the pacquaio camp that always argued with roach, I wouldn't expect him to say anything good about roach, again your trying to pass the perception that what you write is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth but in reality your just stating your biased opinion, nothing more, nothing less

The lady at my local juice bar reckons Eddie Futch was a terrible trainer.

She knows what she's talking about too.

Roach does seem to get a pass for Khan, Shiming, Chavez Jr, Provodnikov, and his other failures.

It seems like the Freddie Roach argument just ends with Manny. Somehow that has put him above criticism. I personally believe there are at least 10 trainers in the game who have been better than Roach over the past 5-7 years.

It's sad that he'll be placed among Emmanuel Steward type legendary trainers. Further proof that he media creates greatness all the time.

The saying goes that you can't make strawberry jam out of shit, you need the whole package to be at the top of the hill, these fighters named all have floors in their traits or skillset, khan, scared to be hit, shimming, try's to be fancy, hands down, Chavez, discipline issues, doesn't work hard enough, provodnikov loves to fight, not box, it's actually quite hard to change a boxer set in his ways, trained by someone before, breaking bad habits is the hardest to achieve

If you think about it, both Roach and the Mayweather team are both insignificant in this one. If you think you need to coach your fighter to do something he has not done in the last 15 or so years, you have already lost.

Roach is beyond full retard mode, but guess he is getting paid to hype the fight.

All trash talking and butt-hurtness from Ariza aside, he makes good points. I don't doubt Roach is a good trainer but I believe he is overrated as well. He's had good fighters come to his camp. This reminds me of when Virgil Hunter got tired of Roach's insults about him that he had to point it out as well. Virgil trained Ward since he was nine. There is no one in Roach's camp that came from the bottom to becoming a world champion. He's still a good trainer though.

Funnily enough Roach said that exact thing about Floyd swimming in camp. :OhYes:

Why do you write stupid sh1t like this? This is why you got no respect round here you get carried away with your biasness. You don't need to be a great boxer to be a great trainer, just ask Emanuel Steward, Eddie Futch and Angelo Dundee...

Agreed. As in any sport, a trainer or coach doesn't have to be a good athlete itself. Training/coaching is a totally different skill. Yeah, being a great athlete at the sport can give you some keen insight, but having the ability to get through to your student is independent from that.

If Roach was black Brut would have posters of him on any wall space not occupied by Floyd in his bedroom. He's a real piece of shit.

Roach is a good trainer, although I think he's pretty overrated as a trainer. He def. talks shit but that doesn't bother me. I don't like Ariza that much either and he's better off just keeping his mouth shut but he does make some good points. We know Ariza and Roach don't see eye to eye, Manny was in top form when Ariza was in his corner and Roach hated that Manny was spending so much time with Ariza and didn't trust him. Roach on many occasions expressed his dislike of Ariza being in Mannys camp, but it's hard to dispute how Pacquiao hasn't looked to be the same physical force since Ariza moved on to other fighters. Ariza is bitter toward Roach based on Freddie acting like a jealous little girl when Ariza started to get the slightest bit of credit for some of Pacquiaos success, that's when things really began to spiral out of control and Pacquiao was basically forced to get rid of Ariza due to Roach and Ariza creating drama within the team.

Who cares though, I'm not going to take Roach or Ariza serious at this point. This is about the fighters and these two jackasses have more important things to worry about than bad mouthing each other. Shut the hell up and worry about May 2nd for fucks sake.
