The guy who runs this does a great job, single handed. Unfortunately due to personal commitments, he's packing it in.
There's just not enough Scottish Boxing in the media, so any loss is a big one.
Putting it out to the forum, if anyone thinks they could take this on, continue the work and hopefully progress it, that would be great for the country and the sport.
Possibly a student journalist or similar? But of course, a well educated, keen fan could do a great job too.
If you fancy it, give the guy a shout.

I'm not surprised! Every time a Scot gets mentioned on here, about twenty men come out and start a ten page argument!

Better or worse than any time somebody puts a serious thread on here, somebody feels the need to belittle and kill it with a pointless, derogatory comment.
Them's the forum rules i suppose. You live with your dislikes, i'll live with mine.

Got to say the boy at Scottish Fight news was doing a great job. Very hard up here couple of guys have tried pro box scotland. Very hard to sustain with all the politics up here. Small place like scotland divided by 2 promotors

there's 4 main players Alex,Ian and Colin,Paul and now the introduction of MGM Scotland this can only be good for the sport up here although I see many boxers wanting to see if the grass is greener on the other side, many before them have been proven it's not! #stayloyal

To be fair pro box Scotland was a joke, they were clueless for a start, I'm sure one guy had an idea the rest were idiots, Ronnie Clark v Iain butcher who wins etc, about 5 weight difference, also sharing an article doesn't make you a journalist, I spoke to guy who runs Scottish fight news at dinner show and to say what a nice guy, very knowledgable, honest and respectful towards all the fighters! He was also very good journalist and gave fighters very good media attention, same goes for alba on here, argued with him on here many of times and disagreed but I can't take away what he does, he's very good at helping the fighters get into the media and contacting the papers and just over all new age promotion, when Ronnie was on prospects card in the lead up he done a good job,
Billy- not about the fighters being loyal at all, maybe if the managers all put there egos to the side and allowed each other's fighters to meet and boost the scene in Scotland we wouldn't be in the doldrums, wasn't fair all the pressure being on Ricky, on the Glasgow cards we should have been making 50-50 fights such as slowey c trainer , Clark v Roberts jnr and badger Hughes v Simpson, instead we packed the cards with English which is not Morrison fault but he should have attempted to convince Hearn that's the route to go, he had the bargaining tool in burns at end of the day he wanted to make money, missed opportunity

Adam does a cracking job, and a testament of his work is hes published a lot in the MSP .
There is very little coverage, and even the FB site jamie said loosely covers scottish boxing- its more sharing links from other pages and pushing the unlicensed boxing that the guys involved with, which is there prerogative as its their page, but there now affiliating themselfs with the malta lot ...

I'm saying Scottish Fight News is good. Not saying there that pro box scotland was or is. I'm saying they had a similar idea. A few different guys pushing in different directions cause problems. I'm not going into it as Jamie has made the point about Pro Box Scotland and as Alba has said they are more on the route of the MBC. From what I seen from Scottish Fight News it was very impartial.

Billy main players is not accurate.. There is really one now in Alex the rest are pretty small in comparison. Ian and Colin trying to make the step up take over really from Tommy in some ways. Time will tell if they can. Paul is small shows I have not heard as much about prospects recently maybe Alba can clarify what's happening. As for MGM Scotland it's headed up by Sam Kynoch who was SK Promotions in white collar. He has the name and a good gym but will be on a steep learning curve.

jamie I agree with much of what your saying although I personally can't see a few of the fights you mentioned happening as much as the boxing fan I me would like them to happen

its important to have TV and Alex did when Ricky was Champion, however unless Ricky wins in Texas I don't see sky coming up here for a while, with regards to Sam he works hard and takes his fighters everywhere for sparring and he's done great having the MGM brand supporting him, maybe he can get TV back here it's much needed to showcase Scottish talent on all levels!
