He WILL throw it - just box and move for the first 4 rounds !

He has to avoid throwing that left uppercut - leaves himself too exposed !

If Botha can outbox a better version of Tyson for so long - DW can - box and move Danny !

I am surprised Tyson is taking a good puncher like DW..

Tyson is a 4 round fighter these days - a very dangerous 4 round fighter and DW can outlast him !

DWmight be fragile but on his day ( which this will have to be ! ) he is a very good fighter !

Williams should do a Hakkar 4 the first 2 rounds and then maybe tyson will get tired.

Seriously, Danny can have all the guts in the world on some nights, like that fight showed us, and if it is that hard Danny that shows up ther ei sno reason he cant oubox and out endure a washed up tyson.

Tyson will KO early even a faded Tyson. But you never know if Danny can get past the first 4 rounds then....

But Williams is not what you would call a mover, even less so these days with all that bulk he carries around.

I've never been a Tyson fan and I agree with you that Tyson is way past his best but he is still too much for our Danny I'm afraid to say, IMO.

Like I've stated on the first thread on this subject further down the board, due to Danny's fragile confidence I REALLY believe he will freeze and Tyson will KO him early. It could be simular to Tyson V Bruno 2, IMO.

I'd love to see Danny fulfill his potential in this fight and show just how good he can be, but if he can't get out of the way of Keith Long, I don't fancy him to beat even a faded Tyson.

Forget this jab and move stuff, he wants to do the opposite and use his weight advantage to push Tyson back and take the strength out of the old man's legs. If you watch Tyson v Douglas, Buster bullies Tyson and pushes him off balance and punishes him. That's what Danny needs to do and I'd love to see him do it.

There's many versions of Mike Tyson, the best of which were in the past.
There's many versions of Danny Williams, which come and go in no obvious pattern.

But in my opinion, there is no version of Danny Williams that beats any version of Iron Mike.

IF Williams is on the very top of his game, fully focused etc... he can take Tyson a few rounds. His game plan should be to sruvive the first 3 or 4 rounds, when Tyson is most dangerous, and then start to build on that.

my concern is, that the first punch that Tyson lands will have a huge effect on Williams, even if he doesn't go down, he would of felt power like he's never felt before and he could crumble.

There are a couple of possible scenarios, the most likely is that Danny gets blown away within a round or two.

Frans Botha and Brian Nielsen were both competitive with Tyson many years ago, Tyson will only have gotten worse. Provided Williams doesn't do a Clifford Ettienne, I give him a 20% chance of winning.

I am going to have a small punt on Williams.

Nielsen was not competitive, he just stood there and got bashed up. Williams will get sparked for sure no way he beats even the most faded Tyson.

Williams certainly doesn't move like a typical 19st heavyweight, I'm always surprised at how quick his movements are overall for such an apparent lump.

He definitely, definitely has the TOOLS to beat this washed up version of Mike Tyson. It's whether he can hold it together on the night. It's not hard to see why virtually nobody has faith in him to achieve that but when a fighter has the tools for the job you can't completely write him off.

On paper I cant disagree, While I dont give Danny much of a chance he does still have one, if it goes 4 it might be interesting as I dont necessarily believe what Freddie spurts out pre fight, tho an undoubtedly great trainer he is, this could all be in my own mind, as I have said many times before I like Danny and he has the tools to much better than he has been. Maybe it could just come right on the night?
One thing is for sure if he doesnt sort his mental approach out then he is screwed, but possibly Tyson might have his demons, facing another big British heavweight, like I say if it goes into the middle of the fight it would be interesting. Im keeping my fingers crossed I would love our Danny to finally get the confidence and make a name for himself, he seems a real nice genuine guy, and I would also love tyson to be put into retirement the same way he spent the latter part of his career, embarrassed and shamed. Bloke never should have boxed again after the ear biting incident, that set boxing back years in itself, the sooner he is gone so we can remember the fantastic up and coming heavweight pre jail the better, not the freak show he has become.
My head most definitely says Tyson early but my heart is hoping for something quite different, come on Danny my son put it together on the night

Heart says Danny retires Iron Mike should this fight happen.
Head says I'm going to be frustrated again.

What Williams could do is go on a big publicity spree in Brixton. Local boy fighting Tyson. Then send Tyson back to Brixton, and hopefully line the streets with Williams fans. Might nark him a bit, after his previously love of Lambeth.

If this fight does happen, I'm on the bus to Brixton to watch it.
