How do folk see this going? Is it just another straight forward defence for Wlad or has Jennings got anything in his arsenal to trouble him? I have to be honest and say I haven't seen a whole lot of Jennings hence the thread. I thought Wlad looked good last time out against Pulev but he took a few when Pulev had a go, great finish though.

I've never been overly impressed with Jennings, he is a good boxer and has go some good wins but I've never seen anything that made me think he's a world beater,he does move well and can hopefully make Wlad miss but I still think Klitschko will stop him early,Wladimir isn't always a fast starter but I think as soon as he lands a solid shot on Bryant, he'll go,Jennings won't have ever felt power like Wlad's before and I don't think he'll cope

Pretty much with this except it may not be this early. Saw Jenning v Perez and wasn't overly impressed mainly as Perez seemed lazy in the 2nd half of the fight.

Wlad will be extra keen to give another brutal finish on his return to America after the snoozefest v Ibragimov last time he was there.

I think the reason I see Jennings going early is because the way Seth Mitchell crumbled in the first Banks fight after taking a clean shot,both Jennings and Mitchell have a similar background, athletic sporty type who turned to boxing late and excelled due to their athletism but as soon as Jonathan hit Mitchell he folded

TBF Jennings may have an iron chin and balls of steel but I think Klitschko will make him feel power that he never knew existed, I hope I'm wrong and Klitschko has a competitive fight for a change

If I'm honest if this fight or Dirrell-Jack go the distance I just hope my scorecards are in range,my scorings been shockingly different the last couple of weeks(although I maintain everyone else is wrong)

Good to see Klitschko back in the us. I can see this being a reasonably easy fight for him Perez didn't look in the best shape when he fought Jennings and tired mid way through the fight. Despite this Jennings showed decent skills and he seems like an intelligent switched on bloke but fighting Klitschko will be like nobody he's faced. Klitschko keen to impress in America by ko.

I like Jennings, a good athletic boxer who shows that when you turn up in shape you can beat better natural boxers.
Unfortunately klitschko turns up in shape as well, so it will be a hard night for Jennings.

Jennings is nothing. I'm just interested to see whether Clinchko dares initiate 3,000 holds as he did Povetkin, while being scrutinised by a more discerning audience.

I thought Jennings vs Perez was an eliminator for the WBC title....Jennings vs Wilder would have been a really interesting fight. What I would like to see are these "lesser" guys face each other more often and let the winner of such fights take on Wlad.

I do rate Jennings but I think his inexperience is going to be a major factor here.

Perez vs Povetkin is a lovely match up, if Perez can get his head right after Abdulsalamov then he is undoubtedly a talent and could give Povetkin lots of problems.

What I'd like to see is the likes of Povetkin, Pulev, Fury, Jennings, Perez, Glazkov, Wilder, maybe still Chagaev and possibly even Haye face each other before fighting Klitchsko. The lack of experience is telling when they do step up. Joshua will be ready to join that group in 8-12 months time. For me, Fury is the pick of them lot (including Wilder.... who knows how/if Haye will return)... but I would still like to see Fury have one last real steel test before facing Klitchsko..... Lennox Lewis fought Razor Ruddock before being scheduled to fight Evander Holyfield. Yes we know it how it all transpired, but the likes of Gary Mason and Mike Dixon would not have prepared him for Evander. Similar, Derek Chisora and Christian Hammer, whilst both decent European level operators, is not ideal preparation for a dominant champion like Wlad.

I think it says something about the state of heavyweight boxing when a world championship fight only gets a handful of responses on here.
I do think Jennings can make this more interesting than most think, he's got to use that jab more.

Doesn't Klit always look terrible on the pads, I just looked at a clip and thought he was messing around for a minute Obviously he has perfected his own boxing technique but looks shi.t to watch.

Exactly. Terrible to watch but one of the most effective fighters in history.

I've heard a few things about this Jennings guy, with some saying he is America's next hope or whatever. He really doesn't impress me at all. Jennings can't punch, so automatically he is seen as a 'skilled boxer'. Well, he isn't. Lumbering, poor accuracy, slow on his feet, not particularly hard to hit. Wlad could end this when he likes. He won't though. I think 5-7 rounds.

Anyone know the ring time for this please?

I don't think the Klitscho brothers get the credit they deserve. OK they are not exactly exciting to watch a lot of the time but Vitaly did retire with a very respectable record and Wlad has some very good names on his record too. I don't know a lot about Jennings but from what I do know I think he will come to fight and as a younger, fresher, unbeaten fighter I think he will put up a decent challenge. Hes tall at 6 feet 4 but wont look it against Klitscho who I believe is 4" taller. Anyway I think Wlad will take him out in the later rounds.
I don't see Tyson Fury or David Price being a problem for Wlad but Wilder is another matter.

Glad Peter Fury was rather scornful of Shannon Briggs as a future opponent after Bunce got carried away with Briggs.

He got a nice pay day today, but I hope Dallas gives it up for his own sake.
