About 13 minutes in, Eddie talks about making an announcement in a couple of weeks that will "blow up British boxing" and "secure the futures of our fighters and our team.".. Anybody any insight as to what this could be? new Sky TV deal possibly? Sky Sports Boxing Channel? Cleverly - Bellew III?

Eddie always talks a big game on these interviews but hasn't been delivering recently.

Boxing on Sky has been generally poor so far this year.

No idea, but its probably going to cost us.

I had a feeling it was spin he is laying foundation for to make something bad sound like a positive. It seemed like he was getting ready for having a smaller deal with Sky next year, maybe less dates and so is spinning it as a positive as it will be less frequent but bigger, better, "super" shows that will give the viewers massive nights of boxing more regularly.

Or in other words, Sky are fcked off with the utter shit he is turning out, viewing numbers are on the slide, they are cutting his dates so he has no choice, with all the fighters under contract, to put bigger names and bigger matches on the same card more frequently

I can't be bothered to watch the link as the IFL interviews are like those American infomercials you see on the QVC channel - it is just a Matchroom propaganda.

Eddie again makes an announcement that he will soon be making an announcement !

One thing is for sure, when he says "secure the futures" or "life changing money" you can be sure of one of two things - either one of his boxers is going to be sent to America and thrown in over his head to get a good hiding, or there is an undeserved PPV card in the offing.

It will be is his new Sky deal and there are rumours that it`s going to be a 5 year deal which will make some people on here very happy D .

It`s good that boxing on Sky will be secured for a few years and lets face it there no other viable promoter in the UK right now to provide the shows they want,don`t get me wrong I`m no Hearn fanboy and would of liked Hatton promotions to have got some dates a few years ago when they had a better stable.I would be fine with a couple less dates if the rights fee was improved so we get some shows which are far better then what we get now but the worry always his that there would be less dates and quality doesn`t get delivered.

Also unless BT come in with around 20 dates we need Sky Sports to show boxing in this country. I like allegedly but that's not enough for the sport and channles like itv and c5 are fickle as fornicate with the sport.

His constant reference to money and making his fighters the most amount of money possible being his only aim started to grate.

I understand it to a point. However, he is also answerable to Sky Sports and their subscribers, particularly given the exclusive nature of the deal, and he's turning out some absolute shite week after week.

You do thought always have the opportunity to play Eddie Hearn bingo during these thing - Monster, Massive, Stacked card, Make him rich, etc. etc.

Interesting that Carl Frampton or his manager (Barry McGuigan) didn't turn up at any of the meetings.

Interesting that McGuigan gave it the big I Am with the phone call of demands to be included as a promotional partner after Matchroom got Frampton into the big leagues. Gives the impression that Barry sees it as an opportunity to feather his own nest over looking after his fighter.

They guy had bad luck or bad judgement with his own money and that big fall out with Eastwood that cost him a penny or two in court battles and he appears to see this as a chance to get some riches. It reminds me of the Robin Givens thing of calling Bill Cayton with the "I am Mrs Mike Tyson and I want to see all the contracts" which sounded like she was looking after Mike but we know was her trying to get control of the cash for herself.

Everything that is happening lately lends weight to the feeling that McGuigan is out for himself and if this stuff that Hearn is saying is not true he would be sued to the hills and back so clearly it is true and Barry really did all he is saying.

It's odd when McGuigan was a pundit with ITV I never thought of him the way I do now. Since Cyclone promotions took off and also when he did the thing with Flintoff it seems to be (and I'v said this before) a case that he has to be interviewed 6 times before, during and after every fight he resides over. With Frank, Eddie, Mick and all the other promoters they get interviewed with their fighter after the fight on the ring apron.

It will either be either one of his many over reactions or something involving Matchroom and the U.S.

Whatever it is it will be no where near as big as he is trying to make it sound. He told us last week sky had just got the righs to a monster of a big fight. It turned out to be degale vs dirrell lol

Money is expected to be tight at sky when the next football deal kicks in so its probly a new deal with them for longer but with less live dates. But he will put a lot of spin on it about how it will be for better promotions. Whitch is nonsence
