Anyone remember Hearn on his latest IFL interview saying they had a big opponent for smith to go with Fieldings "big opponent" leading to a fight between them. Hes fighting Olegs Fedotovs, 19 wins, 20 losses, coming off 2 straight defeats and got ko'd by Eubank 3 years ago. Should be another great fight where smith will learn exactly nothing. Hearn always said if the fight can be made lets make it now and not wait (specifically with kahn v brook), that logic obviously doesn't apply when he has to make a fight between his own fighters.

Hearn meant a big opponent on the echo arena bill in June the same bill as Fielding vs Vera. This is a warm up fight for Callum to get back into things after an injury.

It really bothers me that callum vs rocky is being saved for ppv.

It could be made now if not for greed.

Why does he even need a tune up?
He is a twelve round fighter now, it is common for twelve round fighters to go six months between fights.
If he has a good opponent signed for June, as Hearn says, I would rather he stayed in the Gym and prepared for him than waste his time, and ours, with this nonsense.

Callum is world ranked now so surely they could have got someone of a better standard here even if it is just to keep him ticking over! If the Fielding fight isn't made next I'll be disappointed. I actually think Smith beats Fielding comfortably if Vera doesn't do it before him. That would really sicken Eddie!

Really looking forward to this one should be a belter!

I think I read somewhere that the big fight Eddie Hearn was on about is Rebrasse

Same tune up opponent as Rocky. I think it also helps Eddie put a decent name on a bill that is falling apart and they can pass it off as Callum Smith testing his hands out.
