Getting up or staying up.

I'm going out late on in Leeds with a couple of mates then back to mine for the undercard.
My brother is coming round at 5am having set an alarm.
Either way we are both gonna feel shit later on Sunday I reckon.
What's your plans and has a past experience influenced your choice in which case why?

Getting up. My 13 year old will stay up and wake me up. I'll go to work for a few hours after. A lot of pubs are staying open and God knows how many are getting together at houses. There will be some terrible states talking rubbish about boxing, a bit like CS.

Staying up round a pals house then flying out early doors for a lads holiday. Tried many of times to go asleep before but it either ends up me just fornicating the fight off or dosing of between a round then waking up in the last few rounds

up early saturday morning hit the gym , the tiredness from the gym will put me to sleep about teatime for few hours and then once im up ill play fifa / Darts with Kids most likely rather than watch the undercard although probably watch lomachenko.
ive had offers to have the usually lads / Drinking night ect but for this one i want it to be remembered and to look back on with the kids when im older. ( Cut to 5am and were all sleeping on the couch

)
im confiscating there phones off them during the fight also as they do my nut in constantly on them while an event that i want them to witness is on.

I'll stay up. I wouldn't want to chance missing it. Ex wife has the kids Sat night so zero beer til after midnight and plenty coffee and red bull beforehand! I seen the programme starts at 12 so I'm predicting a long tedious, repetitive 5 or so hours til the main event

Hopefully it's worth it.

I haven't made my mind up yet. Original plan was to go for a 10 mile run then keep active for the day with the little one which would have me in bed early and set the alarm for 4ish.
However, the closer it gets, the more hyped i get for it and there's every chance that i'm going to end up staying up all night for it. Not inviting people round though as i can't be doing with listening to a few of my mates encouraging tactics of 'just punch him in the f'ing face.....really hard' etc

I'll be working Saturday morning, early start, hopefully get a few drinks down me neck afterwards and be in bed for 10pm. Get up at 4am. A couple of beers and hopefully we are something like. Good job it's a bank holiday Monday!
I've got a feeling the fight/walk ons won't start until between 5.30am-6.15am, meaning the fight might not end until gone 7am... If you are planning on an all nighter, best of luck
I'm hoping some sort of official time for the fight comes out. I mean, surely they must know.
Sky starting at 12am is nuts. The whole under-card is only 6 fights and I'm betting they will only show 3 fights live max plus the big one.
Shame the under-card is so crap, little interest in it bar the Lomachenko fight.
Adam, Johnny, Ed etc. will probably fill the time in with celeb interviews and foaming at the mouth grins

Surely it won't be that late? I thought (hoped) it would be 5am start at the latest. What would 7am UK time be for the East & West coasts of America?
If it's after 6am, that means i'm going no beer and alarm

Staying up.
The original plan is to try and grab a few hours kip on saturday late afternoon to early evening. I say this every time a big boxing even comes up though and have never managed it.

Will be in Hong Kong for this. Not looked into options yet, but I doubt much of the under card will be shown so probably won't start til 11:00-12:00. If I was back home then it'd be a few hours and get up.

Not sure yet, depends what time the nippers are bouncing off the walls Saturday AM.
Usually it's about 6.30am, and can see myself getting my head down for a bit and getting up at 4am. No interest in the undercard.
As others have said, i want to be ship shape and not plastered when this fight starts.

I might get up around 4...4:30..do we reckon it's likely a 5am start ?
The idea of sitting listening to Smith and Nelson for 5 hours would be the closest thing to hell on earth

Last cpl of years it's been get up but hanging out with pals for this one. Gonna start early at mine (about 6pm) for dinner and some drinks/old fights/Fight Night etc... then shift venue to my pals around mid-night.
By the time we get there, get settled and have a drink or 2 it'll be getting on so won't seem too much of a long haul night.
Last time he and I done an all-nighter was Hatton vs Malinaggi and we had some 5th letter so by fight time I could hardly concentrate, won't be doing that this time.

I thought 5th letter was a spirit I'd never heard of, was halfway through googling it before I realised what you meant

Dont know yet, i'm out on Saturday night for an occassion, i'll be getting plastered, no way around it. I will need to put the brakes on somehow though, no way can i miss this live, i think rather than throwing shots down my neck i'll aim a sneaky few over my shoulder instead.
In my teens and twenties 5 am starts were a breeze, mid thirties with kids its a tall ask no matter how i plan it.

I know I enjoyed Hatton v Malinaggi - but I can't remember any of it.

Interesting don't know if my adrenaline would allow me to get back to sleep if I tried that but great idea if it works for you mate.
