Pacquaio will be wearing Reyes gloves in the fight, also known as the punchers gloves, Floyd tried to veto it just like he did with maidana but this time it didn't work, Floyd doesn't like thin gloves

Roach already made a statement about Floyds gloves, worrying about what they weighed and what they're made of. Where did you hear about Floyd vetoing the Reyes gloves? I'd like to see a source to prove this claim. The only thing I've heard about anyone being concerned about the gloves this fight came by Freddie Roach.

Makes me wonder why ESPN would only cover the story of Floyd being concerned about the gloves rather than Roaches story that came from the horses mouth. Typical nonsense to continue the good guy/bad guy story and sticking with the "Floyd is scared" argument.
And I searched what you said and all I found was the same article about Roach being concerned about Floyds gloves. Not the other way around lol.

Floyd Mayweather fails in challenge to Manny Pacquiao's preapproved gloves

Manny Pacquiao's boxing gloves, which had been approved by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for Saturday's fight with Floyd Mayweather, became the source of an 11th-hour dispute between the boxers' camps Friday. About five hours after they weighed in, the issue was settled.
The factory-sealed gloves had been inspected by the commission's executive director and chief inspector earlier this week. Shortly after Friday's weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Pacquiao's camp was informed by the commission that Mayweather's representatives contested the use of Pacquiao's preferred Reyes-manufactured boxing gloves.

According to those close to the situation, a contract exists between the two camps that states Mayweather will wear Grant-manufactured gloves, Pacquiao will wear Reyes gloves and neither set can be horse-hair-style boxing gloves. It's common for the inside padding of boxing gloves to be made from horse hair, foam or a combination of both.
Mayweather's camp protested the commission's approval of Pacquiao's gloves, claiming the Reyes gloves are horse-hair style and do not satisfy the contract. Reyes gloves are commonly known as a puncher's glove among boxing insiders.
Mayweather's representatives noted the fight contract states Les Moonves, president and CEO of CBS Corp., plays the role of arbiter for items involving the promotion that require mutual approval. Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, argued that did not apply to the fighters' gloves. Moonves, who was instrumental in helping bridge the sides for the long-anticipated fight, was informed of the dispute Friday afternoon.
Pacquiao's representatives, including Top Rank president Todd deBoef, Freddie Roach's adviser/agent Nick Khan and attorney Daniel Petrocelli huddled in a room just behind the arena floor where the commission was holding the glove selection process. Pacquiao's representatives stood firm in their position that Moonves had no jurisdiction over the Nevada State Athletic Commission's inspection and approval of fighter equipment. They were asked by the commission to return for a further review of the gloves at 7:15 p.m. PT. At that meeting, Mayweather's reps acquiesced, and both sides chose their preapproved gloves.
A similar issue was brought forth by Mayweather prior to his May 3, 2014, fight with Marcos Maidana, when the commission did not approve the gloves put forth by Mayweather's opponent. However, in this case, Pacquiao's gloves had been inspected, approved and held in the possession of the commission to avoid any threat to the pay-per-view bout going on as scheduled.

I found it quite easily, might load different pages being in Australia, Floyd won't be happy with this outcome

fair enough, but sounds like it was a legitimate reason if it was agreed through a contract that horse hair filled gloves were not to be used in the fight. But they didn't specify in the article whether the original gloves (that may have been horse hair filled gloves) were in fact the ones agreed upon for Pacquiao. It says that the sides came to an agreement on the pre-approved gloves by the commission, and we both know there are more than one pair of gloves present for both fighters during these inspections. It sounds more like a contract dispute more so than anything else and doesn't seem like Pacquiao showed up with a worn out pair of shady gloves like Madiana did, it just so happened that Pacquiao brought in a pair of gloves that could have potentially been filled with horse hair when they agreed to not fight with horse hair filled gloves in the official contract.
I don't believe it will make a difference any ways and could care less. That story doesn't even specify on what gloves Pacquiao will be officially wearing in the fight, whether they're filled with horse hair, foam or a combination of both. It just brings up the dispute and doesn't actually specify the verdict of the glove selection.

If Floyd was contesting it I'm sure Floyd didn't want him to wear the Reyes, pretty logical one would think, no reason to make a fuss if you don't care, Floyd obviously does

The way the article reads, it's a contract dispute about what's in the gloves for the padding, not the make of the gloves. I wouldn't look into this too much, if it was that big of a issue you would have heard much more of a stink about it.
Now you're reaching taking the entire article out of context, based on what I just read.

Mayweather's camp protested the commission's approval of Pacquiao's gloves, claiming the Reyes gloves are horse-hair style and do not satisfy the contract. Reyes gloves are commonly known as a puncher's glove among boxing insiders.
I'd think this is quite easy to understand, Floyd also tried to get his cup vetoed aswell saying it was illegal, he lost that appeal aswell

Yes it's a contract dispute, but as I stated it still doesn't specify what gloves Pacquiao will be using in the fight whether they will be filled with horse hair, foam or a combination of both for the fight. All we know is that Pacquiao will be wearing Reyes gloves, the dispute wasn't about what make of glove Pacquiao would be using, it's about what's used to fill the glove based on what was agreed upon in a contract. It's pretty simple to understand.

If it was filled with foam would there be an issue, no, doesn't that tell you something, Floyd appealed, Floyd didn't want pacquaio to wear the gloves, that is a statement in itself, Floyd is trying to get every concession he can for this fight

Doesn't Pacquiao normally wear Reyes gloves? If so it isn't an issue. Its not like the idiots (Maidana and his team) bringing a used pair of gloves wrapped in saran wrap for approval. Roach seems to be worried about Floyd's gloves having too much padding? The gloves they wear won't be the difference in the fight.

The MX is a Mexican made glove with a soft leather and a combination of foam and horsehair. The horse hair is in a pouch that makes it impossible to maneuver around. The PowerLock is an all foam glove made with a high density foam and a ergonomically positioned thumb, making a natural fist easier to accomplish and streamlining the profile of the glove for easy guard splitting. I would say it's an all-around glove whereas the MX is a puncher's glove first.---------- don't know what your talking about, maidana had a new pair of custom made red mx gloves, Floyd appealed and won, so then maidana was going to wear a manufactured pair of mx gloves, floyd sooked up and said he wasn't fighting until they paid and forced maidana to wear power lock gloves, a fully foam glove, don't know where you got a second hand pair of gloves from, you guts always seem to play things in floyds favor trying to defend him

Though the gloves they wear does say something about the likely tactics and intentions of the boxers, I hope Manny gets to wear the Reyes and if Floyd wants the Grants he should wear them.

The brand of glove wasn't even part of the dispute

.. We already knew Pacquiao was wearing Reyes gloves and there's nothing in that article saying anything about Floyds people disputing the brand.

The gloves have been cleared by the commission as they are perfectly legal, but the question is if they violate the contract:
http://www.boxingnews24.com/2015/05/may ... ommission/?
Floyd protested that Manny’s gloves contained horse-hair and thus should not be allowed for the fight. Team Mayweather recommended that per the contract CBS chief Les Moonves should be brought in as an arbitrator to settle the glove dispute.
Floyd could just keep insisting like he did with Maidana.

If Pac's team are dumb enough to sign something that specifically says no horse hair they should hold them to it. Tough sh!t.
