I don't understand it's PPV but we only get part of the undercard?

My HBO PPV is blocked off 6pm to 2am, but then when you go to it, the screen says 9pm start.
Does that mean we pay $100 and only get a small part of the undercard????
Or am I missing something?

How long have you been following boxing? This is standard procedure on Boxing PPV's. Boxing doesn't even make the preliminary PPV fights available to internet viewers the way the UFC does.

The UFC isn’t such an idealistic standard-bearer for PPV’s, because Dana White’s company last year:
• Reportedly suffered a 40 percent drop in profit
• The average PPV buy-rate fell to a measly 260K average from a high of 615K in 2009
• Received a class action lawsuit from current and former fighters (due to them being poorly compensated for their efforts) that could potentially cost the company hundreds of millions of dollars, if the UFC is found guilty of violating antitrust laws

You sure like to make arguments out of nothing don't you? I wasn't defending the UFC, simply stating that they make their preliminary fights available to viewers through the internet unlike boxing.

I must be tired, looks an awful lot like someone starting an argument to me.

OMG, the UFC is doing so terribly. It must all be because they are broadcasting their preliminary fights. That is the cause of all of the bad things that happen to the UFC.

Take a deep breath… relax…. think of a happy place… and then read all the posts on this page. It may help you to put things into context, rather than posting smarmy comments that are utterly irrelevant!
The only point of your original post was "boxing shouldn't broadcast preliminary fights like the UFC does, because the UFC has problems, which therefore proves that the source of all of these problems is that they broadcast preliminary fights, and therefore boxing should not do that."
The point of my reply was "That is illogical."
