He really lost this fight on December 8, 2012, when Marquez KOd him. Early on in that fight Manny looked the best he had against Marquez since the first round of their first fight. He was actually out boxing him while attacking like he would have needed to tonight.

Since that night he looked lackluster against Rios (1st fight at welter), Bradley (who most felt he already beat), and Algieri (no hoper). 2 of those fights the old Pacquiao would have KOd easily.

It just seems like he has lost all confidence in his ability to rush an opponent throwing aggressively, and it really showed tonight as he played right into mayweathers hands.

I am not stupid and think an aggressive Pacquiao would have prevailed tonight, but he could have put up the same wreckless effort Maidana put forth in the first fight with more skill it would have been more entertaining. This version of Pacquiao we have seen since Marquez KO had almost no chance.

Manny really lost this fight back in 2010 when he DUCKED out of it by making the pathetic excuses not to do blood testing!! That told me all I needed to know about his lack of confidence.

A real clean and honest fighter who wasn't afraid to lose would've taken those tests and proved Floyd wrong on both accounts.

That's quite a bit of a stretch, with all due respect. Bradley is one of the top fighters in his weight neighborhood. Just pushing aside a win against him because he already had success against him doesn't make much sense. And Rios and Algieri are two solid, if unspectacular, contender level fighters.

Manny lost the fight when he stepped into the ring with Floyd Mayweather.

Agreed, but FMJ would have beat him on the night JMM put him to sleep too.

Yep. No way way Manny beats Floyd at any stage in his career.

Floyd didn't even have to go out of second gear against Pacquiao. It was a master class performance. People might not be happy because it wasn't the next "Rumble in the Jugle" but you don't get much better than Floyd, period.

It concerned me how relaxed he was before the fight, perhaps he knew he couldn't win.

I think Manny pre-2011 COULD have possibly beaten Floyd (by decision only) outside of Vegas. Has anyone forgotten how badly hurt the bigger Cotto, Sugar Shane, and Margs were? How about that mask Ricky Hatton was wearing as he crumbled to the ground? Oscar's lumped up face, and bleeding eyeballs? Ring any bells?

This was because his speed, legs, and reflexes were on par with Floyd's. WERE. Let's not forget, this was a terrible matchup on paper - the height and reach advantage told me Manny possibly couldv'e never got past those obstacles. It was a decent effort and played out nearly identical to my initial thoughts.
