Former WBA 168 pound champion Anthony “The Man” Mundine is suffering from a perforated eardrum and has been forced to postpone Saturday’s scheduled fight against former WBA 154 pound champion Austin Trout in Hidalgo, Texas. It was stated on the Australian’s Twitter account “Mundine is suffering from a severe ear condition which doctors say will cause him serious and potentially permanent damage if he continues with the bout.” Trout tweeted he’s still trying to fight Saturday.

Postponed til Mundine's ear heals. Apparently he is unable to fly with the ear condition and will remain in the US with a view to fighting when medically fit again. Must cast some doubt on whether the fight will take place at all.
