who do you got, if those actiobn packed boxer faced each other.

I'll have to go with walters, i like loma more, his style, but walters is just to much of a heavy hitters, with to much reach advantage. also loma isnt the kind of shying away from a good exchange, which he should because walters got some mad power.

I'd say late round tko, something like walters 9 TKO

winner against cruz or mares, that would be fun.

Walters has been impressive but like others I don't think a win over Donaire makes you special. Lomachenko is special.

I think Walters in this one. Lomanchenko was ultra boring in the first half of his last fight, against a nobody. I quit watching after 5 or 6 rounds.

I think sooner rather than later Lomachenko lack of experience in the pro rank's will bring him unstuck BIG TIME especially a seasoned/talented
pro like Walters i'll be very surprised if he doesn't take Lomachenko to school and leave him there

This is the fight I really want to see. I think Lomachenko wins this easy, its toughness vs technique. Gary Russell in my opinion was a tougher Featherweight opponent than Donaire or a way faded Vic Darchinyan.
Time for Mr. Arum to make this fight a reality this year.

regardless of the opponents (donaire is still a very good boxer and not easy to beat at all), walters has 84 % ko ratio and has a lightweight type of body, he is big. technicly there is no contest, that loma is more sound in terms of footwork and combination punching, but this big power along with the size advantage, i have walters as the winner.

problem with loma is, the lack of power, he got everything, very athletic, good speed, but for me he is not somebody who can pose big respect for caliber of opponents like walters

Salido scraped to a close decision against Loma in his second fight. Mauled is a ridiculous word given Lomachenko ended the fight the stronger of the two. That's not to say I'd favour him in this fight. He needs more seasoning before taking on a fighter of Walters' quality.

I would favor Russell hugely over Donaire, and 50/50 vs Walters at 126.

They will milk both fighters a long time before putting them in the ring together.

Remember that Walters' best wins are over fighters who peaked in lower divisions and only briefly fought at 126, with Nonito having already gone back to 122 and Vic having moved up from 118 (after years at 112 and 115) only a few bouts prior. Vic in particular had been slowing for years and already lost widely at 118 to Moreno and Yamanaka, so although Walters is more powerful than Loma I question whether he's the monster his last two fights make him seem and wonder if his opponents were well-suited to make him look impressive considering that they were relatively small yet stood and traded with him, having often relied on size/power advantages at lower weights.

Walters has a good jab to go with his power and I can see him getting the better of the action with a sustained application of intelligent aggression, as Loma still looks uncomfortable at times when pressed and especially when opponents go to the body. On the other hand, Loma doesn't fight anything like Donaire or Vic, he's faster than Walters, and he has a significantly better skill-set overall, with his movement in particular being excellent and in my view the main reason that the ultra-quick Russell landed at a meager percentage. While he's not a puncher like Walters he has hurt all of his opponents and Walters has been down several times against limited opposition, so he may hit hard enough to wear down Walters over time. I think that despite still having adjustments to make Loma is easing into the pro ranks and has improved since the Salido fight, which was competitive and featured Loma doing the most damage. With more experience I think Loma's chances would increase, but I think he already has a solid chance of winning this.

Hell no!!!!

Donaire was behind into the 9th round of his fight with old, undersized Vic, who lost widely to Yamanaka and Moreno shortly before. I wouldn't be surprised if Russell clearly beat him.

One of the best matchups in the sport right now. Still I dont mind waiting some more to build it up to a huge event.

Lomachenko is a versatile technician with speed, volume and movement advantages. Walters has power and reach advantage. I have to favor Loma at this stage but only slightly. Lets have couple of more fight before they clash.

Lomachenko, too quick, too slick, too classy.

also, we should not forget, the cheater salido came in basicly as a welterweight. he came on purpose bigger and stronger and on purpose not making weight. clear win for lomachenko.

... and he threw like 40 low blows.

After Walters beats his opponent in June, what I would want is a double header, in early fall, with Lomachenko and Walters on the card fighting good opponents.
Like for example:
Lomachenko - Vetyeka
Walters - Zambrano

Then have a unification fight in January or February 2016 at MSG.

Mauled? Coming in overweight, constantly fouling and scraping a close decision with the other guy finishing stronger is a mauling now? That's not called a mauling, that's called rewriting history.

Lomachenko vs Walters is a proper fight, I'd favour Lomachenko.

Salido mauled, worked him whatever you wanna call it for most of the fight thats why he won.

Loma hasnt improved that much from that fight he's just fighting lesser comp, besides Russell a decent unproven fighter at the time who else has Loma beaten?

I like vasyl go check my previous post on him i like his style but hbo is working the hype machine overtime with this kid. When in reality he is very unproven and has lost against the best guy he's faced so far and that guy wasn't no world beater either.

Just cuz biased ass max kellerman goes gaga for him doesn't make him a proven bad ass.

Walters would work him over brutally.

Actually this is a very great fight if it happens and I'm not sure if Walters have enough experience to deal with someone like Loma, at this point in time I'm going with Loma by UD.

Walters has the advantages in height, reach and punching power but none of that means much if you can't land it or being countered so effectively that you end up hesitant to throw your punches ala Floyd vs Manny.

As to the actual topic, Lomachencko has a frightening amount of skill and talent, but Walters is a big, strong, powerful feather. If it happens I expect a competitive bout. I think Lomachencko pulls through on much better mobility and accurate work, but it won't be easy, that's for sure.

Lomachenko will definitely win almost every round in which he won't be down. The question is how good his chin is to avoid getting knocked down. He has a great defense, but Walters will still land some good punches.

There's no doubt Lomachenko is class and he always looks like he's totally in control and playing with opponents but he needs to start going to town on guys quicker,I know it looks good and TBH I actually like watching him doing his thing but this is the pros and he needs to get the experience of getting opponents out of there ASAP for when he's in the deep end,you play in sparring but you shouldn't play in the pros
