Floyd: No Rematch Because...

...he is upset at how Manny and Co. spun the fight.
"Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I change my mind," said Mayweather. "At this particular time, no, because he's a sore loser and he's a coward...If you lost, accept the loss and say, 'Mayweather, you were the better fighter.'"
From FloydHype today
Rematch seems farfetched right now anyway.
If Floyd takes another challenge, it will be his next fight.
In September, which is only 4 months away.
Assuming he gets past that, the one for 50 will be an easy fight, a farewell.
That means no Manny.

This is nothing more than a trick to fool people into buying a rematch

Could be.
Look how well the "Floyd is avoiding the fight" thing worked the first time

Floyd will keep this up to about January and then the fans will keep saying he is scared of a healthy Pacquiao. Then the rematch worth as much or even more.
You can say what you want about Floyd but he is a marketing genius.
He'll get another 100 plus million pay day out of this and laugh all the way to the bank

You cats are delusional.
I guarantee a rematch will do horrible compared to the first fight.
The casuals aint gonna go for the BS anymore.
Its over Floyd and Manny can just disappear now, they both fumbled big time when it mattered most.

I wish I could fumble my way into 150+ million dollars and a win over Manny Pacquiao, that's some impressive fumbling.

Floyd will want to do the re-match. Just wants Pac to stop his complaining. Too much money to be made. Does no where near the ppv buys the first fight will have done but imo it would be between 1.8-2.2

According to people that don't like Floyd, anything below 1 million PPV buys is a loss. I guess only getting 1.5 or 2 would make them some chump change at least.
Personally, I don't want to see the rematch, and think anyone that buys it is a moron. The result will be the same. I don't blame Floyd at all for being pissed by Manny, Roach, and Arum's comments. They went from having the best training camp ever, with Manny being faster, stronger than ever, and in his prime right up to the fight (AND THEN saying he won the fight) to saying the reason he lost was that he was fighting one handed??? If you don't see the wrong in that, you are dumber than a fornicating box of rocks.
I really, really, wish both guys would just retire. Floyd won, Manny lost. Time to move on. I wish Floyd wouldn't even fight in September. He had better pick an easy fight, because the let-down factor could haunt him big-time in the fall fight. I hope he is ready, because there are several out there that are.

not so sure. with the surgery there is an argument
on the table that manny could make it a fight with
only one hand. whether you buy that or not, it is
an argument that people can relate to.
if six weeks from now there is still debate over this
shoulder thing, than floyd might reconsider. but it
would take trash talking and bad blood to sell the
fight. it still could make half the ppc and if the
rumoured numbers for the first are correct that
means much money again. makes it an easy equation
for floyd who now believes he can beat manny easy
no matter the circumstances.

If there's a rematch will does that mean ordinary fight fans be able to get tickets this time?

I agree, it could be part of the hype job so everyone will buy the green weinie one more time.
And just like the first time they ate the green weinie, there will be bellyaching after this one too.
Cause any rematch will just be more of the same or worse for Manny.
But really, I doubt Floyd will do this again.
Pac will need to made a very good case that the injury was real, and not just Manny blowing smoke over being so butthurt by the loss.
Usually, when there is an "bad" injury like this to a athlete this big, there is a news conference complete with blown up x-rays and laser pointers.
Didn't see that here and my guess is we won't ever.
