robinson, ali, leonard, tyson all boxers who would make around 6-10 million ppv buys, considering that it looks mayweather-pacquiao did 5,6.
for example, lets take the biggest match up possible with today media standard, tyson-ali, lets say they make each 500 million.
from those 500, how much goes too % wise?
tax 33 %
mgm
networks (hbo/shw)
promoter
manager

networks (hbo/shw)-30 %
promoter-15 %
manager-10 %

so from 500 million, take away 50 %, maybe even more, around 60-70, but who says you need somebody like haymon who basicly takes all your money

, but showtime and hbo for sure take a big %.
so, tyson and ali would have made 200-250 after all, than come taxes

, which is like 30 % or how much ?

Based on what I've read... For the PPV only.
About 35% is going to the cable/satellite companies. Apparently HBO/Showtime are splitting 7.5%.
That leaves roughly 58% going to the fighters. The belief is that Mayweather gets 60% of that remaining portion.
So Mayweather is getting about 35% of the PPV share, with Pacquiao about 23%.

Are you going to create a third thread of this nature in three months' time?

Do the fighters get taxed before or after the manager, trainer, etc.. take their cuts?

Fighters are taxed after the costs are paid out.

Federal tax on that is 40%. Another 15% self employment tax. No Nevada state tax.

so, its basicly a joke that floyd is the best paid athletes in the world, when he gives pretty much everything away!!
i mean aside from tax and manager, i guess tiger woods didnt have to give up prety much everything to providers and networks, well, he earned money with being a commercial figure to big companys.
but from his 100 mill he made a year with commercials, i guess only 33 % got taking from tax, aside from that he prety much got his ~65 mill.
but floyd he made around 200 for 1 fight and basicly after tax 33 %, provider 30 % and network ?, venue mgm ? haymon and ellerbe, there isnt much left, maybe 40, or am i wrong?
but these forbes highest paid athtletes list would than be totaly inacurate, as floyd being the highest paid athlete overall, when basicly around 80 % of his money is taking away from him.

So after tax assuming Floyd gets $180 Million he is
only taking home about 80-50 Million? Poor guy
