Good luck to him! Froch a proper world champion, he should be applauded for what he has achieved in boxing. I used to dislike him but he has totally changed my mind

There's a good chance he won't retire (I hope he doesn't), so I don't think this is the time to celebrate what a great career Froch has had.

I used to like him but he has totally changed my mind,good fighter,fight anyone.I though he was slipping in the first Groves fight and should quit,however he turned it around in the rematch so fair play to him,i think he has a couple more good fights in him and would like to see him in with Ward or DeGale or GGG.

I'd like to see him in a big fight in Vegas before retiring, a fighter whose giving so much to the game deserves to fight there

Ward rematch,Golovkin or Stevenson would do just fine

Froch has surpassed Calzaghe in the meaningful fights he has had but Calzaghe would have whopped him on points, to quick, to fast to skill full.

Maybe at SMW, but he was a good size for the weight and I would've liked to see how he fared at 175.

As a froch fan i would like to see him retire,if he fights golovkin or stevenson it could end bad and where does that leave him? Like hatton? Ward is too slick and to quick for carl as he proves in the groves fights he has slowed down abit now and he was never really that fast anyway hand speed and reflexes i mean. Call it a day 4 time world champ sold out wembley fought in america held the green belt twice fought the best of his time in his division and finished 2nd in the super six tournament id be well happy with that,his family is financially secure and he still has his marbles in tact,walk away now froch and lets enjoy the memories of probably the best fighter to come from these shores,if not the best he has the biggest heart of any fighter from britain imo

No disrespect to hatton btw as he fought the best p4p twice and gave a good account of himself in one. Hatton is a british boxing legend i just dont want froch to av one more and end up k.oed by either of the two biggest punchers in world boxing today

One thing i dont understand is froch defended his belts last may,ward held the wba super for over 15months before he got pulled from the rankings and he mentioned in an interview that he is the wba super world champion and froch is the regular so he will eventually have to fight him so why have the wba stripped froch wen ward is still the super world and hasnt fought since 2013

Announcement expected next week. Looks to be the end of the road for an excellent champion. I didn't take to him at first as I was a big Calzaghe fan and he irked me lol but I grew to be a fan. Plus he knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley you know!!!
