Texas has to be hands down the most crooked state to fight in. Has been for years. Laurence Coke is a blatant cheat. Too many fights to mention. Took a great fight today and made sure his local fighter won. Countless headbutts, hitting behind the head, yet he took points from the out of town fighter. Also kept grabbing him and throwing his arm. Nothing ever changes in this state. Sad. He has robbed guys in at least ten pretty big fights. Should be put in jail. He is a criminal.

Totally agree…he was warning him 2 mins into first for basically nothing..it was maddening. And took point when Burns held after he got stunned. Cole can suck it.

Cole should be banned from working in the sport of boxing.

His father is a big wig in the commission. He appoints his son to the fights. He has been sanctioned and suspended in the past.

I have a feeling Cole was more strict on the holding tonight because of all the bad press the Floyd/manny fight is getting.

Probably didnt want a similar scenario in this one.

Floyd should be forced to fight with Laurence Cole as the ref can you imagine that lil Floyd would shiit his pants.

No kid bazooka Cole has screwed so many fighters it is crazy. Do a little research and you will be shocked. I am sure there are some good refs but how do Cole Daddy and son get to rob so many fighters for more than a decade? Corruption. Send them to jail.

Lomachenko would be undefeated if it wasn't for Cole. Mickey Ward would have stopped Jesse James Leija. Who can forget Cole telling Marquez to quite a fight because he was ahead??? They tried to rob Chris John. Cole tossed him around the ring more than his opponent. It goes on and on. He is not inept. He is a crook

He was extremely partisan, boxing shouldn't be like that - tbh Ricky had been the recipient of some very dubious judging in Scotland - hopefully last nights cards and referee wipes out any 'bad karma' Burns had. How Ricky sucked it up and gave it to Omar in the last round was heroic.

Without a doubt the most frustrated I have ever been watching a fight and among the worst refereeing I have ever seen.

Burns should have cracked him one.

That's the frustrating thing about my favorite sport; nothing will be done despite his previous offenses. Nothing.

Sad but true. We always are our own worst enemy in this sport. Not talking close decisions and differences of opinion. I had over 50 amateur fights but I don't try and belittle someone who has never been in the ring. Opinions are fun for debate. But Laurence Cole is just flat out a criminal. Any real commission would prosecute him for trying to fix fights. AND he sells insurance to the promoter. How is it not an incredible conflict of interest????

People deserve the government they get ... especially in 2015.
