£150 on Kameda

I had £150 on Kameda to beat Mcdonnell at 4/11.

But fair enough Mcdonnell deserved to win the fight in my opinion.
I thought it was going to be easy for Kameda the way he was built up in the online previews and the way he started the fight but I got worried when his corner started rubbing his legs around the 8th round. Jim Watt was right when he said if it had been a fifteen rounder Mcdonnell would have stopped him.

Still gutted about the money though.

Unlucky mate. I rarely bet on boxing as it's just too unpredictable (unless it's a mismatch obviously, in which case it's hardly worth going to the effort of placing a bet in the first place).

I'm the same. Very seldom bet on boxing as I like to just enjoy the fight. I've had too many a Saturday ruined with last minute goals on my football coupons lol :witzend:

I really didn't think McDonnell had a chance in this fight, but I thought he was superb in the 2nd half of the fight, and proves he deserves to be a World Champion - just not with a crappy Regular Champion belt.

I called it on another thread that I thought they both (Burns and Jamie) had a chance.

I'm so so happy that they both accounted themselves so well, burns is far from shot and has always been one of my fav current boxers.
Jamie Mac....I don't know what to say...showed immense heart and courage to get up from that shot and how he came back into the fight is a testament to his will to win.

Happy for both lads, Burns because he proved he is over his jaw issue (Which i'll admit I doubted) and Jamie Mac for being a warrior and overcoming the knockdown and a real hard fight by digging in and getting the win.

Hats of to both.

Why risk 150 to win 50 on anything ?
