Please Explain Your Scoring

This thread is for those of you who scored the fight closer than 116-112.

Specifically, those of you had it 7-5 Floyd, a draw, or Manny winning.

Please explain which rounds you gave to Manny.

And for each round you thought he won, please explain exactly why.

Please be as detailed as you can.

I am starting this because I am perplexed as to how anyone can see more than 4 rounds for Pac.

And even that is a gift, as 117-111 seems the most proper score, with 118-110 perfectly understandable.

You're wasting your time, they will provide all the same BS excuses they have already provided in thread:

Manny's shoulder
Floyd ran

What else can they say? They won't admit that Packy had not intelligence on how to cut off the ring!

They won't admit that Floyd's jab was instrumental

They won't admit that Floyd's right hand made Packy reluctant to be reckless and the jumping in that he usually does did not occur.

They won't admit that Floyd used lateral movement to keep Packy off balance, forced him to lunge when he threw his shots.

They won't admit that Manny lost to the better/far superior Boxer.

118-110 was the correct score without a doubt and I'm being generous giving MP a couple of rounds.

fergusg wrote:I scored the fight 118-110 to Mayweather, but I do admit that two of the rounds I awarded to Floyd were pretty even and could have gone either way (depending on your personal stylistic preference).

So I feel that it’s perfectly reasonable for other people to score the bout 116-112.
I get that. Like I said, I can't get to 116-112 now, but fight night that is what I had.

But I felt even then I was giving Manny the benefit of the doubt in one or two rounds.

I need explanation from folks who gave 5,6, and 7 or more rounds to Manny.

I need details so I can understand and maybe see it from their point of view.

i had 4 rounds for manny. the one were he wobbled him and some other were he chased floyd and floyd was basicly pucnhign air or guard and not landing anything and manny sometimes landed something. but the whole fight through was not a commercial for clear punches landed.

3,4,9,11 for manny. making the action, landing head shots or landing a flurry of punches.

some 1-2 rounds, i dont know exactly which rounds were also 10:10, were basicly nobody was doing anything. floyd was running and rarely landing the jab clear to mannys head, often air or guard and manny was chasing floyd but was also landing nothing but air or floyd forearms from the defence.

i mean manny was the aggressor and wobbled and hurt floyd, so i can understand people giving the fight to manny or a draw.

floyd landed very often his jab, was technicly superior, so i also can understand people having floyd as the winner. but it was not a schooling by any means.

Hey I am just trying to understand.

No smarmy comments or making fun.

I know there are Pac fans here who are knowledgeable about boxing.

I am just trying to see the fight through their eyes.

i like pac fighting style way more than floyd, but even me, who wanted pac to win, because i dislike floyd style so much, even me had floyd winning.

4 rounds for manny, in those rounds were he simply landed heavier shots, 1 obvious round where manny wobbled floyd.

Like I said, I get 4 rounds to Manny tho I don't agree with it.

I need the guys who gave 5 or more to Manny to man up, get in here and explain their take.

I give you all the props in the world Chepppaaa for taking a crack at it.

You are illustrating the difference between a boxing fan who likes Pac and a PacTard.

Thanks.

The bolded part explains it all about you; you are a fan of reckless aggression not calculated and timed responses. Floyd picks his opponents to pieces in a calculated fashion, Packy simply jumps in and out recklessly often leaving himself open for counters or to be hit cleanly as we saw Floyd do to him so easily.

The fact that you could not even watch the fight again but then go on to point to the one round (4) where MP did his best work shows your lack of objectivity and your penchant for wanting to remain a hard head about this bout and be unwilling to view the facts as requested.

Once again, another PacTURD showing his lack of objectivity, bitterness and sore loser spirit of which I'm not surprised.

I need to rewatch the fight to score it properly, but I remember I scored the first four rounds as such. I scored the fight 116-114 to Pacquiao, though admittedly I was in a very pro Pacquiao pub where every Manny flurry was being cheered loudly.

Round 1 - Mayweather clear
Round 2 - Pacquiao, close
Round 3 - Pacquiao, close
Round 4 - Pacquiao big
Round 5 - Mayweather big
Round 6 - Pacquiao clear

For the record, I think 116-112 to Mayweather is reasonable because of the number of close rounds. I don't think the shoulder was a major factor, but I do think that Mayweather was too defensive which cost him some of the close rounds on my scorecard.

For the reocrd, I am not a Floyd hater and had him beating Canelo very widely, I just don't think he performed nearly as well in this fight.

If you go to Australia and Pacific forum RE-Mayweather v Pacquiao on the 4-5-2015 I kind of gave my theory I didn't really explain my view on the round's but I do remember saying I couldn't give the last round to TBE because he put on a Usain Bolt impersonation  or something along those lines just about every-one that i'v seen gave TBE the 2nd round I gave that round to Manny because he was the aggresser punch stat's claim both landed 3 punche's that round if you believe that BS I compaired my score to Aussie boxing expert's Paul Upham and Grantly Kieza.
Upham 116/112 Mayweather and Kieza 115/113 Mayweather ...........And me....... Manny won round's 2-4-6-9-10-12 that's my opinion.........
114/114 a DRAW....................

Not that Compubox is any final authority, but they do speak volumes against some of your choices.

In round 2, Floyd outlanded Pac 11 to 6, equalling Manny in powershots (6) but connecting with 5 jabs more.
In round 3, it got worse. Floyd doubled Manny in jabs 4 to 2, and almost quadrupled him in power shots landing 11 to Manny's 3.
No one got seriously hurt in either round 2 or 3, but it was clear Floyd was landing the sharper, crisper blows.

So how did you give 2 and 3 to Manny? How did you see them close?

This is all you need now:

Floyd - W
Manny - L

Now, hopefully both will retire. No more shouldergate crap.

You smarter than that, 'Husker.

They settin' up the okey-doke one more 'gain.

The might make only half the money but it is still a goldmine.

They will fight next year, Cinco de Mayo.

With Floyd going for 50-0

I said they were not a final authority, not that they were no authority at all.

You use it as another tool to explain what you saw.

Not one of the 3 judges scoring the fight gave 2 or 3 to Pac. Not one.

And why should they?

Floyd landed with more frequency and accuracy than Manny many times over.

But I will say this. At least jezzamundo has the cojones to come in here like a man and try to support his take.

More than I can say for some folks...

You explained it there, you can man up and explain it here.

I have already explained in this thread why you have to be kinda biased to give Manny rounds 2 and 12. I even posted video of 12, so feel free to take a look and tell me where you see Manny winning the round and please elaborate on round 2 as well.

I agree that Manny won rounds 4, 6, and 10.

No way he won 9 so that is another round I need your indepth explanation on.
