From what I read, he was not in a car. He was found between stations of Berlin subway, and he was drunk. He had injuries to his head and hands/arms.

I hear he's an idiot. Sounds like it's true.

In an italian newspaper, they said that he's been assaulted by a babygang.

He had beef with SMS Promotions, after he left them. They treatened to put him into a wheelchair, his wife said. Boytsovs manager, Gagik Chatschatryan has been attacked aswell on April 11, 2013. Now it seems like they've got Boytsov. He watched May vs Pac, and went into the subway at 11 AM, surveillance cameras show.

He was found at 4:30 PM. They found alcohol & another substance, most likely some tranquilizer, in his body. There are some reliable sources, that he wanted to escape from someone, and he went into the subway tunnel. He was found there, with head injuries, and a destroyed hand, which most likely ends his career, if he ever recovers. And no, he wasn't an idiot. Sure, he was drinking too much, sometimes, but we all do, aren't we? I know people who know him, and all of them are saying he's been a nice, honest, humble guy.

I hope he survives this, without serious injuries, and everything resolves. This was no accident, the police is sure, and his family is sure.

If he's running from gangster thugs, running into a subway tunnel doesn't sound like the best idea.

Details of what really happened will hopefully emerge quickly.

Isn't SMS Promotions an all black criminal outfit in New York City? What did Boytsov have to do with that?

Sometimes you don't have a choice of where to run. Or they might have forced him in there.

I hope he makes it but rumor has it Boytsov aint the greatest guy on the planet. Hence my comments.

It has always been the 3rd.

It only became public news on the 11th, over a week later.

Contradictory reports in the news story so far - police saying no sign of assault and it appears to have been an accident; his wife saying police told her it appears to have been an assault; one place it says serious hand injury, another, no serious hand injury. Possibly he was just drunk and fell off the subway platform.

Boxing Denis Boytsov

For the first time since his accident on May 3, opens the door for a journalist to the bedside of Denis Boytsov (29). I, the boxing reporter of BZ may visit the seriously injured boxer from Berlin Sauerland stable.Accompanied by Olga Boytsova and manager Peter Hanraths.

I get goosebumps. The walls of about 20 square meters single room are papered with newspaper articles about boxing the Russian-born as well as photos from the heavyweights. On a cabinet family photos of Boytsovs.The Positive: Denis Boytsov sitting in a wheelchair and has opened our eyes. A few weeks ago he has awakened from the artificial coma.

Affectionate caressing his wife Olga her husband's face. A picture full of love. He turns slowly to head in their direction. I stretch my fist against Denis. Greeting. This is done so under boxers. And Denis has understood the familiar characters. Slowly he clenches his fist and stretches it escape me. The Boxer fist is back.

Denis Boytsov shows reactions, but he can not speak yet supported. As I take my leave of him, he looks after me - as if to say: "I'm fighting on." It is the hardest and perhaps longest fight of his life.

I think that the accompanying photo is an old one and not taken at the hospital. It is deceptive.

"On 3 May 2015 Boytsov was found unconscious in a Berlin subway tunnel. Due to a severe head injury he was placed in a medically induced coma for seven weeks, and will unlikely return to professional boxing. Ramzan Kadyrov agreed to cover Boytsov's medical bills after his banks accounts were blocked.[1]

Boytsov lived in Germany for more than 10 years before the accident, which was initially related to his boxing activities, as he received multiple death threats in 2013.[2] German court later ruled that Boytsov fell on tracks while being intoxicated.[1]


German court ruled it an accident...but is that true?
