I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I've never watched Gonzalez fight apart from clips on YouTube, in my defence he hasn't fought on UK TV that I'm aware of

There was a good piece in this months BM about him,apparently he's never been beat amateur or pro(130-0) which is staggering, he's won world titles at Straweight,Light Flyweight and is currently WBC Flyweight champ,knowledgable people have been banging his drum for awhile now and he's making hisf US debut but I doubt if they will ever take to a small guy,I can't wait to watch him and I expect he'll be wanting to put on a show for the new audience

He's fighting former world Light Flyweight champ Edgar Sosa,whose having his 60th fight,this is his 3rd crack at Flyweight title

On allegedly on the Golovkin- Monroe Jr undercard

I am the same mate. Only seen bits of him online. Really looking forward to seeing him live. What a record he has! That KO ratio in the lower weight classes is a rarity also.

Agreed Stuarty,it'll be interesting to see how high up the weights he can go,the fact that he started at the bottom division makes it more intriguing

He is in my opinion the best all round offensive fighter in the world. His combination of technique, ringcraft and talent is very special. If you ignore the lower weights you are missing out, here. I think he might be the best of his type since Chavez, even. And I fvcken love me some Chavez.

i watched him beat yaegashi on a stream, what a fighter...amazing combination puncher. having him and golovkin on the same bill is boxing porn.

As previously mentioned he's probably the best offensive fighter on the planet, though I suspect 112 is his limit, he looked "flabby" at the weigh in for the Fuentes bout, still destroyed the Filipino mind. Then again 112 is stacked with good tests such as Ioka, Mthalane, Estrada, Ruenroeng, Casimero, Arroyo, Reveco, Yodmongkol... Even easier fights against the likes of Viloria, Segura and Kogawa would be incredibly fun.

Seems like yesterday I was reading about a big punching 20 year old who had burst onto the straw-weight world scene. Seven years on he's finally getting some more exposure!

I hope he can secure some big fights; there's some great matches to be made in and around that weight.

Love watching Chocolatito.

Bundles of skill and intelligence but he implements it aggressively without continually moving away from his opponents and holding them when they're close.

As mentioned above, his footwork is outstanding! And to have both Gonzalez and Golovkin on the same bill, non PPV, is perhaps a blessing in disguise considering just how good they are.

Really looking forward to this card! I am half tempted to stay up for it. Can't wait to see Gonzalez and GGG is my favourite international fighter. Guaranteed excitement.

No problem sir i m as excited to see him as everyone else,his footwork in that YouTube clip is astounding,hopefully Sosa hangs around long enough for Gonzalez to show his full repertoire

Erik Morales little brother Ivan also on the card,he's looked great from what little ive seen but haven't seen him in a few years

Hey, what's the point of being a boxing fan if you can't get carried away ?
And P4P isn't about who you beat, it's an opinion about who you think might be one of the best fighters in the world, skill wise - and watching this kid in action, he clearly is an awesome talent.
I imagine you have him slightly behind Paul Butler in the ratings but let's hope he moves up soon

And P4P isn't about who you beat, it's an opinion about who you think might be one of the best fighters in the world, skill wise - and watching this kid in action, he clearly is an awesome talent.

I agree when Munroe barely beat the count he should have waved it off.

Munroe is a decent fighter he's not without skill I'm sure he'd give a lot of fighters some problems.

Have to admit Gonzalez is quality seen the Yageashi and Estrada fights before this expect to see him on HBO again. Hopefully he can unify the weight Estrada rematch seems natural and a fight with Ruenroeng make sense especially as he has had exposure on HBO as well.

Roman was excellent, very poised and every punch at every range, he's got a lot of class.

Monroe had had enough, he timed his rise to be just too late and looked a bit crestfallen when the ref asked if he wanted to continue; he is a very good boxer though.

Golovkin is just ploughing through his division, boxing every 3 months shows other champs up. He is proving himself a very good champion, he's the best at middle easily.

Like many on here, that was my first time seeing Roman properly (i.e. outside of YouTube etc), was mightily impressed. He really does seem to have everything, hopefully he'll start to show up on UK TV much more often. Also great to see 2 aggressive & entertaining headline fighters topping the bill; what a contrast to the 'fight of the century' a few weeks ago.

I do have to stick up for the ref in the GGG fight (although admittedly Reese is usually an annoying prick) - he was clearly trying to do Munroe a favour in giving him the benefit of the doubt for the final knockdown, he just misread the situation.
