Real Punch Stats for Floyd v Pac

Pretty damning for those wildly innaccurate CompuBox numbers. It's time CompuBox was binned, there is simply no way that 2 men with a clicker ringside can accurately count punches thrown/landed in real time. The action is simply too fast, it requires slow motion replays to see if a punch lands or catches a glove/arm etc, not to mention other factors such as ropes obscuring view, etc (I guess the same factors that explain such bad judging, too). A far more sophisticated system like Tennis "Hawkeye" & sensors in the glove would need to be implemented to achieve real time stats.
Floyd:
Threw: 471
Landed: 68
Success: 14%
Pac:
Threw: 414
Landed: 98
Success: 24%
In an attempt to confirm the official fight statistics, Boxing News 24 gathered its team of leading boxing commentators to monitor a video of Mayweather and Pacquiao’s match. First, they viewed it in actual speed, then in slow motion, and finally frame by frame.

They will use as many as they can just to say Manny won, if God told them that Floyd won they'd still call HIM a liar.

IT was clear enough in thread title what this was, yet you opened and posted anyway.

I agree with the "new" punch-stats. For me Pacquaio won the fight.

Screw the stats, whatever they may be.
Mayweather controlled the fight. Pacquiao danced to Floyd's lead. Don't need numbers to determine that.
Anyway you slice it, it might have been dull but Mayweather was routinely in the driver's seat for most of the 36 minutes.

That's a flattering way to describe running & clinching.

You're a sad sack, you and Cheap Ass are the most pathetic and BUTTHURT of all this forum. Manny Pacquiao lost to Floyd Money Mayweather.
Try and let that sink in.

I, along with many others, prefer to view it as smartly "boxing and tying up."
Perfectly respectable strategy in the Sweet Science.

You're wasting your time with him, he is too emotionally distraught over Manny losing easily to Floyd and the word "smart" has never been a part of his vocabulary.
When Manny fights Floyd he has to have him stand still so he can hit him because Pacquiao is too dumb and skill deficient in cutting off the ring although he is supposedly trained by the so called "7 Time Trainer of the Year".
What a joke Roach is, I see why Sr calls him Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach.

That's funny, everyone apart from nuthuggers are agreeing that compubox is wrong, from the first post after the fight I said draw or one round either way would have been acceptable, as I've said casuals don't know what lands and what doesn't, anyone who thought those scorecards were accurate are fools

CompuBox is not what the people who were watching the fight were scoring it by, we saw Manny lose with our own eyes long before we ever saw the CompuBox numbers.
Only idiot Pacnuthuggers think people are blind and cannot see who won this fight with their own eyes.

I never believe that trying to educate someone is a waste of time.
Talk real slow or write clearly and even a distraught Pacquiao fanboy will eventually see the light.

No, it's illegal, the sweet science is make em mis and make em pay, not make em miss, clinch & run away.

Since so many experts on here watched the fight and counted every single punch.
I am curious how many clinches were counted.
Does anyone have an exact total?

I'll take a stab in the dark and say 50?
Am I close? I mean that's not a value judgement, it's just a guess. I watched the fight twice, I don't really feel like watching it again.

I said straight away a draw or 1 round either way and according to this info I was spot on, only casuals like yourself believe floyd dominated and fulfilled your fantasies, how about you actually be honest and watch the fight in slomo yourself and see what actually landed or are you scared you might realise how far off you really were

How did I know that would be your answer, funny how everyone who has watched it in slomo has realised how many of floyds punches missed, I could see that in real time, Mosley and Holyfield also came out stating that they thought pacquaio won

Who cares? Manny LOST, get over it. Holyfield is an idiot who is mad because he lost money on picking dumb Manny and Shane is just mad because Floyd beat him up when he thought he'd win because of the big shots he landed.
Instead of focusing on the two idiots who said he won, why don't you focus on the other 1000 boxers who say Floyd won it easily.
