Who wins? Selby-Gradovich/Mitchell-Linares

Someone made the same topic over in the CS but I think this is a better place for it.
With the fights two weeks away, what do you think the results will be?

I feel Selby will win a close fight but wouldn't be surprised if it went eithe way.
There's every possibility Mitchell will get starched again. But he's got Linares well past his prime it's a decent chance for him. I still fancy him to lose though.
selby/Linares for me.

Don't think the poll is working correctly - only has option to select one winner? Surely it should give the option of two winners (unless it's turned to a fatal four-way behind my back)?
Anyway I'm going for Selby & Mitchell to both win, although I'm less confident in picking Mitchell.

My mistake! The poll has been corrected so now two options may be selected.

I'm picking both home fighters to come through. As someone said above i am also more confident of a Selby points win (comfortable). I think Mitchell will win by stoppage around the 8/9th rounds after a few scares. The next two weeks we could potentially have three new world champs! Not too bad for a wee island!

Gradovich for me is being very underestimated. He is the worst out of the four champions but from what I have seen he is decent and leagues above anyone Selby has been in with.
I don't bet but do check odds out of curiosity and at 9/4 even I am quite tempted to put a bit of money on that.

Yeah I feel the same and have grad in some accumulators. I see it as really close. For me, Selby has never really done anything to suggest he can clearly beat this guy in a decisive fashion and I would be surprised if it isn't at least competitive, I can also see Gradovich outhustling him. I do think in a close fight Gradovich has little chance of a decision though and the odds reflect this.

Usually I think people, not necessarily the harcore lot on here but in general, get worked up in support for a British fighter just because they are from the home country. I always try to avoid this, for example I predicted Tete to beat Butler etc... but this time I genuinely believe Selby and Mitchell can do it and I'm pretty excited for this show
Crazy because not long ago I thought Ghislain Maduma would beat Mitchell; maybe I have gone mad

Taking nothing away from Gradovich hes a tough cookie and an unbeaten world champ but skills wise he's nowhere near Selby's level,I think Lee wins wide and makes Evgeny look crude time and again,he'll not stop coming forward so Selby will need to concentrate at all times,Selby's biggest problem is coasting but that shouldn't be an issue in a world title fight
Linares-Mitchell will be a fun fight, both guys are bangers who can box too so it could change patterns in an instant, both guys have questionable chins but are tough,Jorge's a 3 weight world champ so hes been there and done it whereas Kevin has faultered at the top level so he has that pressure of being a nearly man,I think Mitchell KO's Linares late on

Gradovich and Linares.
Selby is yet to box anyone that I'd consider better than domestic level, despite seeing some claiming that Lindsay was European level and Brunker was a top contender and while Gradovich isn't the best champion out there I think he has more than enough to outwork Selby and win on points.
Mitchell isn't world class and will be taken out inside 5 rounds by Linares.

I'd say Gradovich and Linares have to be the smart calls.

Which Mitchell turns up?

I picked both British boys although I'd say both bouts are fairly evenly matched.
My man Mitchell looking good lately but he doesn't have a good record in title fights.

The problem with Kevin has never been him imo, its no coincidence he has been blown away each time he has stepped up to challenge for world titles.
Linares is a little cooked thesedays though. Could be a belter

After a bright start from Selby, Gradovich moves through the gears and grinds him down for a late stoppage or a close but clear win (116-112 sort of ballpark). Would be happy to be wrong about that.
Linares-Mitchell is one I'm really looking forward to - I think we could be looking at a FOTY contender. Two clean-working, fast-handed boxer-punchers, both hit hard, both vulnerable. Linares looks to be slightly better in most departments and again I think he'll be leading early but I get the feeling that Mitchell will be hungrier and that will be the deciding factor.

Seems like there's a fair amount of interest in both fights - how many of us are planning on getting the PPV?

Mitchell was a spoilt starlet under warren when he turned over. He feasted on "teak tough" Ghanaians and eastern euros rather than properly learning his trade vs the likes of Michael Gomez, graham earl, Alex Arthur etc.. I honestly think it's been a huge detriment to his career.

If the Kevin Mitchell that beat Estrada turns up, it could be a special night. I see Selby winning a tight decision.

Linares is younger than Mitchell. And Linares probably didn't spend much of his twenties drunk

He was getting beat quite clearly by maduma though but Mitchell's fitness was superior on that occasion. Can't see that being the case against a legit world champ

In all honesty, i don't know enough to really pick the winner in selby grad but betting wise i wouldn't touch selby at 1/3.
With mitchell/linares both being 10/11, my money would only be going on linares. Mitchell should be around 3/1. He's been stopped twice against opponents that many would argue are below genuine world class.
2 defeats for the brits would not surprise me and at over 4/1 as a double, I'll be backing it. (Throw in dirrell at 2/1 points too!)

Linares is a real special talent. It's too bad his face is apparently made out of some kind of paper.
Seriously though, Gradovich and Linares for me, sorry Brits. I actually hope DeGale will beat Dirrell and think he has the tools to do so, but not sure he will get a decision in the states.

I've recently cancelled Sky Sports and purchased myself an android box. I'll never pay for sports again they can poke it up their arse.
