Floyd who is afraid of the "damn giant" with a shorter reach than his ?

The crown is to be decided between Roman and Gennady at this time.

The one guy that we KNOW is NOT the P4P king is Gennady Golovkin.

Yes, he has strung some very impressive KOs together.

But none of them has come against A-list competition.

Look at the P4P rankings.

Almost every guy on it has a victory over another P4Per or an acknowleged A-level fighter...

...except Triple G.

Even Klitschko, a guy laboring in one of the weakest divisions in memory has a notch or two over an opponent some considered elite at the time.

Not one of Golovkin's opponents can be described that way, called elite.

And until he fights someone who is, in any of the weightclasses he says he can compete in, he can never really be considered tops P4P.

No, none of that is true because you are on Floyd's side because he's black and you're black, so it doesn't count....you're being a racist if you are black and support black fighters that just happens to have more or better skills than other fighters.

Heaven forbid what they called you when you were supporting Tyson at the time when he was decapitating everyone, or Hearns when he was doing the same.

No, in this day and age, you cannot be a black person and support other black fighters because that automatically makes you a racist, every other race has the right to support one of their own and not be called a bigot/racist, except black people.

You are bigot/racist. LOL

... it is really hard to fight another p4p guy when they start mumbling about "not this time", "when the time is right", "nobody tells me who to fight", "damn giant", etc. as soon as they are asked about Golovkin.

GGG has been called out numerous times by numerous fighters in the weight class right above him and by at least one guy in the weight class below.

It is Abel Sanchez who has said his charge is not ready for Ward.

http://www.boxingnews24.com/2014/01/san ... ard-fight/

And this is his promoter giving excuses for why GGG wont fight Lara...without mentioning that some of the guys in the same weightclass as Gennady are in the exact same position as Lara is and yet they accuse those guy of ducking.

http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/2/13/54 ... oxing-news

And there are others.

Have Ward's or Lara's handlers sent an offer to Loefler. They were just talking knowing perfectly well that their fights couldn't happen.

Floyd is the only correctt answer we know that.

Ppl can pretend that hes not but it won't change the facts.

After Floyd tho its Roman Gonzalez.

Good list, much better than having GGG as #5 beating a bunch of average Joe's.

I wouldn't have an issue with someone having him at #5. I think G is better than Kovalev and on par with Rigo, but more aggressive. So, if G had an equal resume to Rigo, I would rank G ahead of him. But he doesn't yet quite have the names like these guys have. however, I think people crap all over his opponents unfairly. He has beaten some pretty stiff, top of the division competition. And made it look easy.

Clearly Floyd, and I say that as someone whose favorite three boxers are listed alongside him in the poll.

Roman is getting there but I don't think he's quite fought good enough opposition for the top spot.
