Apart from me who is excited about the potential match ups that could be made within the Lightweight and Super-Middleweight divisions over the next 12-18 months or so here in the UK

At Lightweight you have Derry Matthews who holds the interim portion of the WBA could potentially face off against Anthony Crolla should Millon-Dollar get past Darleys Perez for the full version. While Terry Flanaghan the current British champion has a crack at the vacant WBO belt. Plus Kevin Mitchell has his third attempt at world title against Jorge Linares as well.

Add in the emergence of Olympic Gold-Medalist Luke Campbell who appears to be on a collision course with friend Tommy Coyle at somepoint. We could have a lively domestic scene there.

Then when you pop up to Super-Middleweight with the division in transition when Carl Froch's inenvitable retirement, you have George Groves going down the WBC route to face Badou Jack. While James DeGale has Andre Dirrell for the IBF portion of the 12 stone. Then fast coming up behind them you have Scousers Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding who could serve up a tasty Merseyside fight plus Frank Bugiloni who seems to turning to a British Arturo Gatti with the amount of tear ups he once get into.

If any of them get belts in their respective divsions we could be in for some cracking showdowns.

Could be some belting fights down the line in the two weight classes but with Matchroom being involved will cost us the extra ££££££££ on top of our sky subscription

I'm interested domestically in Callum Smith vs George Groves vs James Degale, outside of that the 168 division is looking very mediocre in comparison to the Super Six + Bute days.

It has gone a bit flat as Carl Froch has one eye on retirement plus Kessler has hung them up, and then you have Bute who had since gone up to Light-Heavyweight since getting run over by Carl Froch. Plus you have Arthur Abraham content to make a few quid with easy fights rather taking a gamble. I reckon the next 12 months the Sauerlands might cash in on King Arthur with either DeGale or Groves should they bag a belt as Groves is promoted by them and they have the partnership with Matchroom.

Add burns to the lightweight mix - after his last performance, it looks like he may not be a spent force as many (including myself) thought!

Shame hardly any of them fight or will fight each other, instead they'll fight unknown Argies for intertoto belts

I must admit I have got that sinking feel as well on the front, but I hope we are wrong. As for the extra ££s on PPVs I fear that could happen as well.
