Hi all, a quick heads-up to let you know that Dennis Hobson Promotions' next show - on May 30 at the Rotherham Magna Centre - will be televised live and completely FREE on Spike TV (Channels: Sky 160, Freeview 31, Talk Talk 31, Freesat 141, BT TV 31).

Ross 'The Boss' Burkinshaw tops the bill taking on South Africa’s Klaas Mboyane for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental bantamweight title. Chief-support currently comes in the shape of Barnsley’s Josh Wale against Welshman Dai Davies in a Commonwealth featherweight title eliminator.

We're hoping too that it will be the first of many shows that Spike TV cover - more info can be found here: http://www.dennishobson.com/index.php/i ... -next-show

Many thanks fellas.

Thanks Dennis for TV info, which bossman John Shep will insert into the system.
In the mean time, we would appreciate, if you would provided us with full matched card = opponents, agreed weight and scheduled duration and you can do so here for time being:- http://boxrec.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8
After this, one of the editors will be in touch with you, whereupon you can provide us with all the info you desire,
Cheers from Downunder :P

Good stuff I'll be watching too.Is there a chance of the manchester card a week later being on Spike?

Burkinshaw's opponent,He's got a SD win over Simpiwe Vetyeka and an upset over former WBC International champion Nkqubela Gwazela.Mboyane stopped him in the 11th but Gwazela beat him soundly in the rematch.I don't think having a tear up with this guy is the way to go,I think he struggles when you box him especially off the back foot.I wouldn't say he has great power but he can suss you when he smells trouble.Ross sounds up for it anyway!Might be a corker this.

Anyone know if its a few fights or just the main event?

I have the same problem, but it's on Freeview also. So you should be able to watch it that way.

Seems Spike is trying to show a few combat events, Saturday nights at 22.00 is often MMA Bellator (the closest thing the UFC has to competition in the USA) or they have shown a UK MMA show.

Cool they'll be showing some boxing as well.

I tweeted Eddie Hearn asking if he'd consider discounting the Kell Brook PPV in light of their being boxing on free-to-air TV that night.

I expect he'll give my suggestion close consideration.

Denns Hobson is a promotor who is full of passion for the sport, He puts money in with little return cares about his fighters and has their interests as a priority,
He takes fighters from no where and gets them shots at genuine world titles, who else does that....he puts on entertaining shows full of 50/50 fights what the ppl want to see....I can go in bookies and have a home accumulator and win every time on a Hearn show....Gavin and Kel is a decent matchup but who ever pays for that other than kels family and Gavins who cant get there are mugs cause its not worth the pay per view money....
Hearn and warren have this TV game stitched up and Hennessey seems to have vanished so with Dennis making a statement I hope every one tunes in FREE and leaves the SKY pay per view alone and its good for all boxing fans to get a taste for nowt
