Saw him in Glasgow when he boxed (if you can call it boxing) against Gary Cornish, when I seen him at the weigh in It told my brother Matty that he wasn't interested and 10 minutes later at the press conference he basically confirmed just that! When asked about his ambitions if he were to upset Gary Cornish he replied that boxing was only a means to help him with his real passion of acting.

He then put in one of the most placid, unambitious displays of boxing that all journeyman around the world would be embarrassed with throwing literally 10 punches in the whole fight and never once giving it a go.

No muscles, No ambition and No good for boxing anymore.

Versus Dallas might be fun....

he is working as a journeyman now a hard game so fair play to him. At least he fights unlike a lot of British heavies

I had a bit of contact with him before he was caught, seemed a genuinely nice guy, McDermott showed his limitations in the area title fight, and he seems very short on confidence after what happened which has clearly had an impact on his ambitions.
While he has done some time in the past he is clearly trying to improve his life on the straight and narrow, and doing it the hard way. If he can earn some extra on the circuit to better his life in the future, you have to wish him luck, there is no harder way to earn a living.

I hate drug cheats and they should be banned for life, but for some reason I really like Larry. He was a canny lad when we chatted and I wish him well with his acting.
