Just wondering if the BBBC have recently been culling the journeymen ? I've not seen the following on the circuit lately or they aren't out as much as before.
Sid Razak , Jason Nessbit, Pavos Senkos, Stupart, ryan mcnicol, chuck jones, Paul frost ?

I must say the lads above are much more durable than the imports used. I still see really low standards of imports used for the up and coming fledglings. Strange but true.

Foriegn guys cost more over all .

William warburton is the best journeyman in the circuit always in decent fights

They cost the same and theres not that many of them.

Agreed. Think you can add Dan Blackwell, Lee Conelly and Dan Carr too.

Paul frost has retired and is now working as a trainer with Clifton Mitchell and I beleive is specialising in nutrition

Michael Stupart retired recently , it's not as easy to find out with Boxing News not doing full fight reports from every British show now , tending to do a round up of the smaller shows each week , much prefer to see every fight covered on every show like the good old days , the journeymen are missing out on their bit of coverage each week .

bheki moyo has never won a fight , how can the bbbc let this happen ? , heard a few yrs ago sid razak was pulled in for not trying to win the odd fight , so how can this be , for me jody miekle is one of the best , very entertaining to watch and loves a good row too

Could it be that the journeymen aren't happy to topple over and right now promoters are wanting guys who topple when hit....or am I just being cynical...

I think you get called up by the board not sure what happens - sure Johnny would know

The board can call you up after 4 consecutive losses. They idea is to have a look at you to make sure you are ok. If you are generally losing on points and are not getting beat up they will usually let you have a few more losses before calling you in.
They then have the choice of suspending your license or maybe limiting the amount of rounds you do, or making you lose weight

Is it good for British boxing for the BBBC to cull the poor journeymen ? I remember when I was on the circuit I over heard an official describing us journeymen as pure cancer to the sport. Im talking about your bottom end of the food chain / bottom level as in the ones that take on debutantes or those that have had a few win. Does it really improve and progress the state of the scene in boxing if they sort of ethnic cleansed the yourneymen ?

It is a good thing to cull poor journeymen, but typically the British ones are good tradesmen whereas the Eastern Europeans are tomato cans

Fair point coco but by culling the uk ones to bring over a more worst poor standard imports wont correct all the wrongs regarding the state of affairs. Just my opinion. Everybody wants competitive fights at all levels.
