Can anyone help me find info on Gavin "The Rock" Rees' amatuer record? Did he win any significant amatuer tourneys? He's set up for a WBO title against Mike Anchondo of Los Angeles and I'm looking to write a piece on him for our local paper here in Costa Rica.

Well, he turned pro at 18 (as did Anchondo), so wouldn't really have had time to win anything major as a senior.

Tell Mike he knocked out Casamayor in one round as an amateur

I was shocked to see he was due to face corrales!

He was a good amateur. He won a Welsh Federation title as a senior before turning pro. That's all I've discovered.

mike anchondo has nothing to worry about here if it was michael gomez it might be a different story.

Just looked up Achondos record ,he dont look bad on paper.

on exhibition mode barely any1 on there takes me past halfway except for winky wright and mike anchondo.
