Boxrec reporting that Terry O'Connor was the ref.

Hold on? He was a judge in the DeGale fight? How the hell did he cross the Atlantic that quick?

Howard Foster was a judge in the DeGale fight, not Terry. Terry is on the photo of the Cornish bout included in the Daily Record link above and is mentioned in the report :TU:

Exceptionally bad journalism and profound delusional comments from all concerned there.

Cornish is very average and will be stopped by the first above average fighter he faces.

Tommy Gilmour talks pure garbage and will continue to market Cornish as the next big thing before the wheels fall off.

IMO Cornish doesn't even beat Ian Lewison.

Yeah Gilmour is irrelevant in boxing! My mate signed for him and says he had to sit and listen to him blow his own trumpet for about an hour in their meeting! Any half decent fighter from up here should stay well clear of the guy. I don't know much about Cornish tbh. Only seen him twice and he was awful to watch both times.

Agree. Lewison would box his ears off. I think he would struggle with Sam Sexton too if he's fit.

Agreed but are either of those two still active? Lewinson has withdrawn from a few fights and I think Sexton runs a greasy spoon cafe now.
Yeah he has a diner or something. I seen him on BN last week and he was talking of a comeback so maybe. Lewison was actually supposed to fight Cornish a while ago and pulled out at short notice so not sure what the script is with him.

Cornish should fight Sprott or Skelton or even one of the foreigners Joshua has beaten up. As for Lewison he would beat Cornish but like Sexton is too inactive to be taken seriously.

Those fights will really shoot him up the IBO rankings won't they?
No they won't but they will be meaningful tests that raise his profile. I agree with his promoters that given his lack of amateur experience and sparring Cornish needs to be moved slowly which is what I am advocating albeit against experienced pros who will give him a learning fight.
