Does anyone know any of the results from the Malta show in Liverpool last night?

Jody Meikle lost on points to Tony Moran .

Can anyone comment truthfully how the show waa run and the boxing etc ? Put all the politics aside. Any info would be appreciated. A ring is a ring to fight / Box and most importantly the right medical staff available.

I went to the show and it was very well ran , doctors and paramedics there same as any other show and Richie Davis reffed a few fights

The Nick Quigley fight was the highlight of the night really good competitive fight shame it was only over 4 rounds , there was 1 or 2 one sided fights but after a lot of opponents pulled out late that can happen to any promoter enjoyed the night!

Are you bbbofc licensed can I ask?

So for example can guys who boxed on this show like tony Dodson still fight for major titles British or Conmonwealth?

Bit of a poor show naming a guy who obviously prefers the anonymity of a username.
I don't mind naming and shaming morons but he seems to post like a sensible and decent chap.

Currently not whilst they hold MBC licenses and are active on MBC shows.

So why box on these shows than BBBC?

Think BBBoC are a little backwards in this regard.

If your of a nationality but hold another license... for example a German born but grown up in france and boxing on a french license, you can still box for the German title. To my knowledge it works like that on pretty much any other license.... But from what i can gather BBBoC are currently digging their heels in and saying cannot box for a lonsdale belt unless BBBoC licensed (Not sure if same applies to commonwealth) but as time goes by that will no longer be the case apparently. MBC seem pretty adamant that they shouldnt be allowed to do this, but i guess its just a case of watching the developments closely in the upcoming months, after all they did initially say BBBoC licensed boxers couldnt box on MBC shows yet they have been doing.

I thought that you weren't into "naming and shaming" ?? .....

It shouldn't be a case of choosing one or the other.

If a British based boxer is offered a fight on an MBC show then surely they should be able to accept and also box BBBofC shows ? (just as foreign boxers are currently allowed to box on both).

As per the agreement a boxer makes when they are granted a BBBoC license and the T&Cs they agree to, no.

When any boxer is interviewed for a licence by the bbbofc he is told that if he signs up with the board that he must abide by the rules and regulations of the board fully if he intends to breech the regulations why the hell does he sign up in the first place ?

Either politics , Licence fees or shithouses on the council / board. Lots of guys coming out of army and landing good rolls due to knowing people high up on the board. Private members club. Not just boxers having issues. Refs as well. Why is Richie Davies mbc ? Micky vann good ref but to old for private members club

If a British boxer fights on an MBC show then the Board gave said that they would not be allowed to box on one of their shows.

Correct that is the situation. What point are you trying to make? There is no confusion about this point, everyone understands that.
